Our PYP 6 and MYP students had a meaningful learning experience at Damodar Arts Village, exploring Fiji’s rich cultural heritage through traditional arts, crafts, storytelling, architecture and cultural performances.
The excursion provided an opportunity for students to make authentic connections between their classroom learning and the world around them, while developing inquiry, communication, open-mindedness and appreciation for cultural identity and indigenous knowledge.
At CIS, we believe learning extends far beyond the classroom. Experiences like these encourage our students to become inquirers, communicators and internationally minded learners who value and respect the cultures and traditions that shape our world.
