What an inspiring day of learning, action, and advocacy! ๐Ÿ’™

Our students took part in a shoreline cleanup, collecting, sorting, and weighing rubbish to better understand the impact pollution has on our oceans and marine life. From plastics to cans and other waste materials, every item collected highlighted the importance of protecting our marine ecosystems.

๐Ÿ  Students also had the opportunity to visit the Marine Science facilities at The University of the South Pacific, gaining valuable insights into ocean research, conservation, and the role we all play in safeguarding our blue planet.

๐ŸŽค Our senior students proudly presented the work they have been undertaking across the Western Divisionโ€”identifying environmental challenges, investigating causes and impacts, implementing action plans, and advocating for sustainable solutions within their communities.

๐ŸŒฑ The day concluded with engaging workshops that encouraged students to continue leading positive change as future ocean champions.

CIS commemorated Ratu Sukuna Day, honouring the life, leadership, and legacy of one of Fijiโ€™s greatest statesmen, Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna.

Through our in-school remembrance function, students reflected on the values of unity, leadership, service, and dedication to nation-building that continue to inspire generations across Fiji. May we continue to uphold these values and work together towards a stronger and brighter future.
