🌟 What is the Day of ‘Arafah(Yaum-E-Arafah)?

The Day of ‘Arafah is the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah — one of the most sacred and blessed days in Islam. It is the day on which the pilgrims of Hajj gather at the plains of ‘Arafah, fulfilling the greatest pillar of Hajj.

📖 Reminders from the Qur’an and Hadith:

🕋 The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“Hajj is ‘Arafah.”
(Reported in Tirmidhi and Nasa’i)

This highlights the immense importance of standing at ‘Arafah during Hajj.

🌤️ Allah’s Mercy on this Day:

The Prophet (SAW) said:

“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah.”
(Sahih Muslim)

🌿 Virtues and Acts of Worship on the Day of ‘Arafah:

✅ Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah

The Prophet (SAW) said:

“Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
(Sahih Muslim)

✅ Engage in Dhikr

Recite abundantly:
• Takbeer
• Tahleel
• Tahmeed
• Tasbeeh

Especially throughout the day and night.

✅ Make Sincere Du‘a

The Day of ‘Arafah is among the greatest days for accepted supplications. Turn to Allah (SWT) with sincerity, repentance, and hope.

📿 Some Recommended Dhikr and Du‘a:

Takbeer:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illallaahu, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil hamd.

Du‘a:
“Rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanah wa fil-aakhirati hasanah wa qinaa ‘adhaaban-naar.”

“Our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

‏إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

Darul Uloom Darul Yatama -Drasa, Lautoka,Fiji is deeply saddened by the passing of its former staff member, MASTER ABDUL WAHID of Nawaka, Nadi (formerly of Waimari, Rakiraki).

Master Abdul Wahid faithfully served our institution from 2007 to 2011 as an Administrator and Maths/English Teacher. During his years of service, he contributed immensely towards the education, discipline, and development of our students and institution. He will always be remembered for his dedication, commitment, and humble nature.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends and former students during this difficult time.

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Maghfirah, widen his grave, and grant him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

With great sorrow, Darul Uloom Darul Yatama -Drasa, Lautoka,Fiji announces the demise of its former student, MARHOOM MOHAMMED AFZAL ADAM of Sakur Place, Jinnu Road, Waiyavi, Lautoka (formerly of Nawai, Nadi).

Marhoom was the Sadar (President) of Waiyavi Masjid Al-Rahmah.

Beloved son of Marhoom Sheikh Adam.

Loving husband of Shabnam Rahaman.

Cherished father of Sheikh Ammar Adam, Sheikh Aamir Adam, and Tahira Taiba.

Brother of Mohammed Yasin, Faruk Adam (Melbourne), and Mohammed Janif (California, USA).

Son-in-law of Habibul Rahman of Yalalevu, Ba.

Brother-in-law of Atar Ali of Jamila Road, Nadi; Aktar Ali of Sabeto, Nadi; Nasir Khan of Nawaka, Nadi; and Asad Khan of California, USA.

The Janazah Salaah will be held today at 11:30 AM at Drasa Muslim Qabrastaan.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones. We supplicate to Almighty Allah to forgive Marhoom, grant him the highest abode in Jannatul Firdaus, and grant patience, strength, and steadfastness to the family during this difficult time. Ameen.
