An antidiabetic drug can boost immune defences against breast cancer | University of Helsinki A study has shown that metformin, a type 2 diabetes drug, may help the immune system to better identify cancer cells and boost the immune response against them.

This year our scientific focus day included a workshop on team communication skills. These skills are especially important as we spend A LOT of time discussing ideas, results, techniques, etc..

After the workshop we got to finish the day with a lovely spin around the Haltia exhibit at Nuuksio.

Throwback to our Summer 2021 retreat. Even though it was only a short "break" from the lab bench, we were able to refocus our efforts as a team which has lead to new and exciting opportunities for our lab (in the form of exciting projects, collaborations, and funding).

We are looking forward to stimulating future discussions, and we would like to thank everyone who is making our research possible.
