Concluding three intensive days with parting ways - youngsters staying for the lipid workshop, the elderly having to take very early (and still full) morning trains to reach their flights to Turku / Amsterdam in time 🚂 🌎 🥱 Thanks for a wonderful event as always ❤️ ⚕️ 💊 🇩🇰 🇫🇮 🇮🇸 🇳🇴 🇸🇪

Challenging trip but all five PSL:ers accounted for 😃 TKU-CPH flight cancelled, HKI-CPH flights fully booked...railroad construction between Copenhagen and Odense so less trains and not possible to book seats on the full trains; track construction also on the tramline so tram not coming to campus 🚧 Even campus construction ongoing so not so easy to find the right building 😁 But here we are and here we go 💯👍 🔛

Hongbo overseeing as custos 🎩 and mouth already watering from thinking of all the delicious food that awaits us at Aura Yangtze in case of a favourable outcome 🤤

👨‍🎓 Public defence of doctoral thesis in Pharmacy – MSc Meixin Ran will publicly defend her doctoral thesis at the Department of Natural and Health Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Åbo Akademi University on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at 1 p.m. (Finnish time) in Aud. Argentum, Aurum building (Henriksgatan 2, Åbo).

📖 The thesis is entitled "Development of Functional Nanomaterials for Ocular Drug Therapy".

👩‍🏫 Professor Twan Lammers, RWTH Aachen University, Germany, will serve as opponent, and custos is Professor Hongbo Zhang.
