On Thursday, our CEO Henri Muurimaa received the Mongolian Ambassador H.E. Munkh-Ulzii in Turku 🌏

Henri Muurimaa, our CEO, was at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris this week for Digital Learning Week, where more than 25 education ministers and designated representatives adopted a joint ministerial statement calling for education to be sustained as a human right and a common good in the age of AI 🤝

We couldn’t agree more! Technology in a classroom has to support teachers and students, not the other way around.

Two weeks in Uzbekistan, nine groups of teachers! 9️⃣

Anni, J-P, Niina and Reko are back from Tashkent, where they trained teachers from both Tashkent City and the Tashkent Region.

Training is an important part of our work, it often decides whether anything actually changes in a classroom. The teachers our Edutenians trained in Uzbekistan were amazing and committed, and we are sure they will succeed with the platform!

The group also spent the weekend in Samarkand, which they absolutely loved, and let's not forget the pilaf! Thank you, Uzbekistan.

On the 19th of August we welcomed a delegation from Vietnam Education Publishing House, the state publisher behind the textbooks used in most Vietnamese classrooms, led by Deputy Editor-in-Chief Phạm Quỳnh, together with editors and senior management.

We talked about what we have learned from bringing adaptive learning into classrooms in different countries, and where digital tools can help in a maths lesson. Just as useful was hearing the delegation’s own read on where education in Vietnam is heading.

📚 We also introduced them to Otava Publishing Company, another publisher with a long history in Finnish education.

An exciting update to the teacher side of Eduten is here! ✏️ In preparing the update, our goal was to make everyday tasks faster and easier. Your usual way of working stays the same, so there is nothing at all to relearn.

Now, copying a course and adding students happens in one flow. The dashboard is clearer and works great on any device, from a school computer to a phone. Guardian reports are simpler and per lesson. Student passwords can be reset directly from the student list, and training courses have moved to the user menu.

Empower your students by giving them the opportunity to take greater responsibility for their learning! Combine it with meaningful feedback and it will make them happier and more motivated, inevitably leading to better learning outcomes 🎯
