NB: The figures of Hubei province (where >95% of deaths have occured) cannot be very precise for a number of reasons, e.g.:
1) due to lack of test kits, medical staff and hospital beds, many infected have not been diagnosed with corona - how big a percentage is anybody's guess. Not diagnosed / misdiagnosed = not counted in the stats
2) obvious political downplaying of numbers
3) political pressure not to diagnose with corona. Etc.

Still, to put numbers in proportion:
- on a normal day, 500-600 people perish in Wuhan area alone
- every day, some 200 people lose their lives in road traffic accidents every day in China

Don't let the media hype get under your skin. So far, it's just another flu virus.
