All students at TUT are required to enrol as attending or non-attending for each academic year to retain their right to pursue studies at the University. This also applies to students working towards a postgraduate degree (Licentiate of Science in Technology, Doctor of Science in Technology, Doctor of Philosophy). Only students who have enrolled as attending may sign up for courses, take exams and receive a degree certificate. Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree must pay the Student Union membership fee in order to enrol as attending. The fee is voluntary for postgraduate students.

The enrolment for the academic year 2013-2014 is now open. The enrolment deadline is 4 September 2013. Students complete the enrolment process through the POP portal at www.tut.fi/pop > My profile > Semester enrolment > E-pay. You can pay the Student Union membership fee and other optional fees through the POP portal using your e-banking service. By paying the fees through the e-pay system in the POP portal, you will be enrolled (as attending) for the academic year at the same time. Please note that if you use other payment methods than the one available in POP, you need to enrol as attending in the POP portal separately.

Reminders of the enrolment deadline will not be submitted to current students by regular mail. Instead, students will receive at least three email reminders in the summer and early autumn. The emails will be submitted to student email addresses in the format [email protected].

Wappu, the most spectacular thing in the world, is coming very soon!

But what is Wappu? When is it? How long does it last? What on Earth actually happens during Wappu? Who is 'Emäteemu'? How can I survive all this?

You don't have to worry about these questions at all!

Wappuinfo in English will take place on Wednesday, April 10th in Festia Pieni Sali 1 at 2 pm.

The spectacular show will guide you to Wappu and after attending the event, you know everything about selling Tamppi, doing jäynäs, building härwelis and enjoying the various activities during Wappu.

Dear Degree Students,

International office organizes an information session for degree students who are about to finish their first year at TUT. The session takes place on Thursday 25 April at 14.00-15.00 in lecture room TB224 in Tietotalo building.

At the information session we will go through the procedures of applying for an extension to residence permit, enrolling for the next academic year, signing up for the courses of the next academic year and time limits for degree completion.

All degree students are welcome!

Have you not started the Ski-season yet? Or have you not had a enough yet?
The annual HimoSki trip is coming again. Now is the BEST time to open the ski season and cheaply! It’s a group ski trip to Himos ski resort for the entire day. And so the day doesn’t get boring we also have the slope fun which includes activities, music and competition!
Ticket Sales start 11.3. 11:30-12:30 in the Sähkötalo upstairs lobby! Afterwards, tickets are on sale from Autek Guild Room, SC102! You can buy for your friend but make sure you have their information!

Departure to Himos will be 22.3. at 8:30 from the TTY Obilisk and from the city center # # to Himos. After arrival to Himos, there will be 6 hours time to crash the slopes and at 16:30 we head back to Tampere

For all those who want to get dipped during WAPPU Listen up! There is a signup sheet outside of the Autek Guild Room for all Autek Degree Students to sign up for the dipping during Wappu! Deadline is 22.3. at 12:00. No exceptions!
