PETRHA+ is an european project which goal is to develop a serious game and a training in clinical reasoning for European physiotherapy students
PETRHA+ is a continuation of PETRHA, a project funded by the European commission through the Erasmus+ program which enables physiotherapy students to train themselves in the clinical process and to structure clinical reasoning through the creation of virtual clinical cases based on real patients in geriatrics. This year will be held the 2nd edition of the European PETRHA Cup!
The first edition in 2017 brought together students from all over Europe in France. This time, in order to adapt to the health context, the competition will be held online 💻 from March 18 to 26, 2021 📅.
Participants will compete on 4 new physiotherapy specialties developed in the PETRHA game: musculoskeletal, pediatrics, cardio-respiratory and neurology.

Although we cannot meet face to face in Bordeaux as it was planned, this week students from HELB - Haute Ecole Libre de Bruxelles Ilya Prigogine🇧🇪, IRFSS Croix-Rouge Nouvelle-Aquitaine🇫🇷, Escola Superior de Saúde do Politécnico do Porto🇵🇹, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Oficial)🇪🇸 and TAMK - Tampere University of Applied Sciences🇫🇮 met remotely through videoconferences and are currently working together on the clinical cases of the PETRHA Serious Game to give us their feedback.

During the year 2019-2020, Tiina Pystynen and Maria Maljanen, physiotheray teachers at TAMK involved in the project, organised a course unit focused on PETRHA+ (on 1 ECTS) for their students in 2nd and 2rd year.
Cases of the cardiovasculardiseases were also used in studies of the physiotherapy of the cardio patients.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, the PETRHA+ teams gather through videoconferences to organise further activities.
The next "physical" meeting was supposed to take place at IRFSS in Bègles in mid-may as the Summer Class. The objective of this event is to bring together students from the various partners to test the serious game.
In order to adapt to the circumstances, yesterday the partners decided to maintain this event remotely as a "virtual Summer Class".
