In Feb 2018, Lapland UAS will take part in the EMCup in Maastricht!

The EMCup is the competition amongst the best European Hotel Management Schools. The 9th edition of the EMCup, held on Sunday the 18th and Monday the 19th of February in Maastricht. The theme of EMCup 2018 is “High Touch vs High Tech”. If you would like to broaden your networks, get an amazing experience, your English is fluent and you like to be on stage, EMCup could be for you! You will get both experiences and credits. Both Finnish and international students can apply! More information: www.emcup.eu .

Application procedure:
- Please send a motivation letter or video on theme “High Touch vs High Tech”, in which you convince us why exactly You should be chosen to the dream team.
- The length of the motivation letter is max 1 A4. The length of the video should be max 3 mins.
- Deadline for the motivation letter and video is by midnight on Sunday, 24 September

Today is the official start of Arctic Design Week 2017 in Rovaniemi. The entire week is full of interesting events and opportunities to learn about the Arctic Environment and Arctic Designs.

It's your favorite heroes!
We have received our final score, including all of our pre- and on-site assignments and we have two good news that we would like to share to all of you:
1. Our social media campaign received really high score, and we finally made it to top 5 in the "Rumor Around the Brand" assignment!!! WOOHOO!!! :) Thanks to everyone on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter...you know yourself! :)
2. We were actually placing in the top 10. This is the second time Lapland team made it to top 10 and we hope next year's team would keep up the spirits, and probably even higher! :)

The past two days were crazy but extremely fun for us. Thank you EMCup for this amazing experience, and once again, congrats to VIEchange EMCup 2017 for the winning. You guys deserved it! :)
We met a lot of amazing people from different teams, such as: FINNISHers (BTW, we snapped one of your team members for our photo), Stay-inn Hospitality Rocks and many others. Thank you for being such good companies! Hope you guys all the best and see you soon.
Lastly, we want to say thank you to everyone who has been with us since the beginning of this journey. You guys have been supporting us so well that we could not be more thankful for. For us, you ALL are the HEROES OF ROVANIEMI.
We cannot wait for next year's team to pass down our experiences and of course, what we have learned, But for now, it's time to end our journey!

We're at one of the famous places in Amsterdam, the "SIGN"! In a few hours, we're going to head off to Maastricht, meet the other teams and get ready for the competition!

Our last post before we take off to Amsterdam!
For the past few months, we have been asking our friends and families sending us good-luck wishes from wherever they are and we put all the wishes into this video.
We would like to say thank you to everyone who helped us. Thanks to Milla Pulkka with her friends from USA, Reeta Peltonummi and her friends in Belgium, Arne Van den Winckel. Caroline Tielen and her friends from Belgium, Marjolein Put, Ronja Kiira, Tiia Ahonen, Thuy Linh Tô, Nguyen Ngoc Huyen and Minh's cutie nephew, Claire Istl, our amazing university Lapin AMK - Lapland University of Applied Sciences, our amazing instagram supporter Sambit from India, Vivian Nissilä with Elsavet Ambartsumova and the rest of DPT16, our tutor Ullis, Lada Stukolkina and Tuomas, Juho Malkavaara and Jaana Laitila.
Of course, a speacial thank-you to the amazing team Stay-inn Hospitality Rocks for your awesome helping in such a short notice. We really look forward to meet the team in Maastrict, and have a nice trip! :)

Next week is our final week before leaving to Maastrict, the Netherlands to compete.
We started our journey with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement, and we are going to end it high. We won't say we are going to win, we just say that we are going to try our very best.
So no matter what's going to happen, we are going to shine on that stage, just like the beautiful Northern Light every night in Rovaniemi!
