Globe Art Point (G.A.P) is an umbrella organisation whose core mission is to advocate cultural equity, diversity and inclusion in the arts and culture in Finland. The association was founded in 2016 by a group of foreign-born & Finnish creatives with an aim of promoting and supporting the status as well as the working conditions of artists and cultural professionals with a foreign background residing in Finland.

Over the years, G.A.P has gained a number of members who decided to support the association’s activities as they themselves witnessed and understood the inequalities in the creative sector. Working often behind the scene, together with its stakeholders, G.A.P has been improving the existing structures and building a society free from cultural discrimination. Now is the time for the curtain to be lifted!

Every Friday, Globe Art Point will introduce one of its member associations/ collectives/ independent freelance professionals or entrepreneurs whose mission just like G.A.P’s is to diversify and therefore enrich the Finnish field of art and culture.

I teach LMA (Laban Movement Analysis) at Turku University of Applied Sciences. I am a performance artist and pedagogue, and I work as a member of the management team at EUROLAB e.V., based in Berlin. Through my business name "direktmotif" I teach dance and movement to companies and workplaces.

I am moving on...the year 2022 looks like a good amount of co-operation between me as a transmitter of Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies in many different fields of application! If everything goes well, there will even happen a tiny but intense transnational symposium (FIN/GER) in June 2022 for the heritage of Moderner Tanz in the beautiful Archipelago on KEISTIÖ island .

I am fully busy with the preperations.

We just completed our ten weeks live - online course of Laban / Bartenieff based movement research . "We " were a small group of movers, including Susanne, the facilitator, teacher and experienced CLMA ( Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst) from different workfields but eager to learn about complexity of movement as much as to experience the total joy of moving together. It works, very well also online! We got connected, started an investigation towards our unique movement knowledge and...there were endless questions who want to be answered throughout future life. We move on.

Every Wednesday morning at 8.30 you can join us for dance and movement. I call it "Fundamental morning class " because we are moving the "whole - body connections", we are relating to our environment and to ourselves. The outcome is a lot of possibilities for expression and , not less, a training to be functional in our moving. One hour , which is a perfect start into the day! Contact me for further Info.
