Ilmakitaransoiton MM-kisat ovat nyt osa UNESCO:n MONDIACULT 2025 Digital Librarya. Maailmanlaajuinen alusta esittelee kulttuuripolitiikkaa ja sen tulevaisuutta muovaavia ideoita.

Pohjois-Pohjanmaan museo sai merkittävän lahjoituksen – ilmakitara tallennetaan osaksi museon kokoelmia🎸 Lahjoitus liittyy museon työhön elävän ja aineettoman kulttuuriperinnön tallentajana. Aineeton kulttuuriperintö pitää sisällään perinteet, taidot, tavat ja ilmiöt, jotka siirtyvät sukupolvelta toiselle ja muovautuvat ajassa. Museoiden tavoitteena on varmistaa, että myös yhteisöille tärkeät, m***a fyysisesti näkymättömät perinteet säilyvät osana kulttuuriperintöämme. Weemalle on kunnia päästä lahjoittamaan kitaransa museolle ja päästä osaksi hänelle tärkeän ilmiön tallentamista. ”Ilmakitara kilpailuissa kyse on paitsi voittamisesta, nimenomaan kuulumisesta yhteisöön. On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Air Guitar World Championships kicked off with Airientation, hosted for the second time at the World Music School AIR in Oulu. With over 100 participants, both local and international, the day once again proved how air guitar brings together community, creativity, and cultural exchange.

Thank you to all who attended the 2025 Public Airientation event here at the World Music School Air. The event kicked off the 2025 Air Guitar World Championships and featured an Airlympics which included some popular Finnish cultural events to include Hobby Horse Riding and Boot Tossing. We event attempted to break an air guitar world record.
