On taas se aika vuodesta, kun Formula Student Oulun talobileitä juhlitaan Teekkaritalolla perjantaina 22.05.2026!

Karkelot potkaistaan käyntiin klo 21 ja pukukoodi on rento eli haalarit, lakit ja muut asiaankuuluvat asusteet on suotavaa laittaa ylle.

Tämä tapahtuma on kaikille avoin, joten ota ystäväsi mukaan ja vietä uskomaton ilta hyvässä seurassa pelaten Beer pongia, Hoosier ballia ja tietenkin makkaraa grillaten. Menevää musiikkia illalla juhlaväelle soittaa livebändi Delete Face. Illan aikana on myös mahdollisuus päästä ajamaan Formula Student simulaattorilla! Talon sauna lämpiää tuttuun tapaan, joten ota mukaan oma pyyhe ja uima-asu.

Nähdään talolla ja vietetään unohtumaton ilta yhdessä!

Transitioning to a hybrid system is a tactical decision for our team, as internal combustion and hybrid vehicles compete in the same class. Strengthening our expertise in electrical engineering is also a key development area for the future.

Developing a new concept for a race car is a major leap for our team. That is why Formula Student Oulu ry is now seeking financial support via small-scale fundraising, permission number RA/2026/220. The funding will be used to acquire the critical components for the manufacturing of our car. This fundraising is valid until 15.5.2026 and has been authorized by the Oulu Police Department.

Additionally, your support has a wider impact. We are not just developing a race car, but rather responding to the global demand of experts. Formula Student shapes our members into the top experts of the future, ready to solve challenges in transport electrification, energy efficiency and engineering in general.

As a public thank you for donations minimum of 10 €, we are making a Finnish flag-style design on our car’s rear wing livery, made from the donors’ names. You can also donate your chosen amount without your name being displayed on our car.

Meet the Team Monday | Valtteri Halonen

Valtteri is an old architecture student in his 2nd year at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. He joined FS Oulu in 2024 and is currently serving as the suspension lead for the team. Valtteri is responsible for designing the suspension and kinematics, in cooperation with other technical subteams and the technical director.

What is your favorite memory of FSO?
The community shaped by our teammates. Also the subject, designing a race car, is really interesting.

What makes our team special?
We make the most from what we have!

What is your “oppiipaha” experience?
Accidentally setting the idle throttle position to 55% instead of 5,5% while the engine was running.

What do you anticipate most of the 2026 season?
I hope we can actually make this year’s car and make it competetive.

Random fact about yourself?
I’ve studied multiple fields, including engineering and architecture, but haven’t actually graduated from any of them.

Meet the Team Monday | Sakari Lehesvirta

Sakari is a 22-year-old Mechanical Engineering student in his second year at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Since 2024, he has been an active member of the team and is currently working as the Head of Aerodynamics. He was also one of our drivers last season.

What is your favorite memory of FSO?
Winning Endurance at FSCzech.

What makes our team special?
We take our work seriously, but not ourselves and that’s our secret advantage.

What is your “oppiipaha” experience?
Almost totaling the car when sending it too hard...

What do you anticipate most of the 2026 season?
Going to comp and seeing how our new car performs.

Random fact about yourself?
I tan very easily.
