Our new location is in Linnanmaa campus. Come say hi!

Move to Linnanmaa campus and development of curriculum.

We are now preparing for moving to new premises at Linnanmaa. We are sorry to leave Rantakatu (Oulu Game Campus) after almost ten Years. But we are also looking forward for new modern premises at Linnanmaa campus Business Avenue.

We are also developing curriculum to better meet game industry needs. We will continue this development together with Oulu Game industry and hope to continue fruitful co-operation.

Oulu Game Lab team Autumn will be Mika M (business), Matti V. (programming), Anssi R (graphics / game design), Erkki (me) (producing, project mgmt.)

Two (2) Oulu Game Lab teams made it to Da-Te-Apps2021 Competition final. Final is held in Sendai Japan and final is Thursday Feb 11, 2021. Final liive stream can be followed at https://youtu.be/Gmpr4NaG7tA

Schedule of the game part: 11 Feb (Thu) at 7:00-10:00 in Finnish time.
- Presentation for GLS free game category: 8:05-8:20 in Finnish time (two from Japan and two from OGL)

Oulu Game final was held Yesterday (17.12.2020) OGL
Judges were Jussi Autio from Resistance games, Sami Koski from Koukoi Games, John Rantala from Fingersoft and Ville Aution from Centria

1st place, team Uneton, game Soul Odyssey
2nd place, team Balanced Beans game Undergrow
3rd place, ream Dank Dungeon Studios, game Arcane Onslaught

4th place, team T-posers with game Discount Defense Force,
5th place, team Quacking Awesome, game Quack the Duck
6th place, team Band of Misfits, game Cartoon Carnage

I want to thank all the teams for their efforts. It was not always easy but You all made it.
