The HewSaw Safari to France and Germany wrapped up on Saturday. A huge thank you to the eight mills our group visited this week.

During the trip the group had the opportunity to see HewSaw lines in action, learn about European sawmilling, and experience some French and German culture.

Reach out to your local HewSaw representative if you’re interested in learning about future Safaris.

Day 2 of the Autumn 2026 Wood Safari! 🌲

Today, our group visited two long-standing HewSaw customers and had the opportunity to see their operations firsthand.

The morning started at FargesBois, where participants toured the sawmill, learned about the company’s operations, and saw a HewSaw SL250 3.3 sawline that has been producing high-quality timber since 2010.

The journey continued to Scieries des Gardes, where a HewSaw R200 A.1 line commissioned in 1996 is still delivering reliable performance nearly three decades later.

Thank you to Farges Bois and Scieries des Gardes for the warm welcome and insightful visits!

Are you familiar with HewSaw's patented dx sawing™ technology?

For more than a decade, we've been refining dx sawing™ to help sawmills get more from every log.

By dividing the sawing process into stages, dx sawing™ reduces cutting depth and saw kerf while enabling higher feed speeds.
