Things you don’t necessarily see in beautiful yoga photos:
A dog in the bed
The slightly messy kitchen behind
A full day waiting on the other side of the practice
The body that feels stiff and achy
And yet… we practise.
I’ve become less and less interested in perfection in postures, or having the perfect conditions for practice.
I’m much more interested in asking: How can the practice live here?
In this body, with this mind and in this particular season of life. Here, in this home and with everything else going on.
This what makes a practice sustainable: not that we create perfect conditions for it, but that we learn to return to it in the middle of the ordinary life.
This is also why I love teaching Mysore online. You don’t need to live near a shala or rearrange your whole life around your practice. You can build a relationship with your teacher and your practice while staying rooted in the life you already have.
Not perfect life.
Not yoga life.
Real life.
Our online Mysore classes continue on Monday evenings and from September 2nd onwards, on Wednesday mornings. Message me if you’d like to practice with me and the group from home! ❤️

This photo was taken on my birthday, about a week ago.
We’ve been taking regular walks through this community garden all summer, noticing the little changes from week to week. New flowers opening in astonishingly bright colours. Big, fat zucchinis ripening, and raspberries becoming so round and heavy that just looking at them makes you feel both hungry and full at the same time.
Late summer has a quiet way of reminding us to pause and recognise what has already grown.
Nothing is rushing.
Nothing is trying to bloom forever.
There is so much we can learn from nature and its cycles.
As August begins, Laddu and I are returning from our summer break, and with it begins a new season of online practice with the theme of cultivation.
This Saturday, August 15, I’ll be teaching an online event, Cultivating Strength. We’ll explore a different kind of strength—not something we force or strive for, but something we patiently cultivate through breath, attention, and steady practice.
Programme
🌿 8:45 AM – Silent Sitting
🧘 9:00 AM – Led Primary Series
☕ 10:25 AM – Snack break
✨ 10:35 AM–12:00 PM – Cultivating Strength
Fee: €40
Early bird: €30 until August 5
Led class only: €20
If you’d like to join us, simply send me a message or email me at [email protected].
I’d love to have you join us. 🌻
Gracias por la photo Pacosamo ❤️

It’s been a good summer, says Laddu.
Us, humans, are swimming in the background...
We’ve had our swims, our bike trips, our books, movies, conversations and plans.
Laddu has had her sniffs, her playtime, and her important rest.
And as always, she’s been there to remind us when it’s simply time to just be. ❤️
Summer has a way or reminding us how little we actually need to feel content. A walk. A swim. Good company. A quiet morning. The same familiar practice.
Soon the rhythm will change again.
Calendars fill up, mornings get darker and routines return. But perhaps we don’t need to leave summer behind entirely.
Maybe we can carry a little of its spaciousness into ordinary Tuesdays.
A slower breath before rushing to the next thing.
A practice that steadies us.
A moment of noticing what is already here.
(Laddu seems convinced that’s the whole secret).
If you’d like to ease into the new season with a little more steadiness, I’d love to practise with you.
✨ 1–2 August I’ll be teaching a weekend workshop in Porvoo, exploring how the practice becomes a place that can hold whatever life brings.
🌾 Then, on 2 August, our Late Summer Cycle – The Fruits of Practice begins. Ten weeks of Mysore practice, monthly gatherings and a supportive community, carrying a little of summer’s spaciousness into autumn.
One ordinary morning at a time.
If you’d like to know more about either the Porvoo weekend or the Late Summer Cycle, send me a message or have a look through the link in my bio. ❤️
See you soon!

Sometimes what we need most is a place where nothing is required of us.
(This morning Kadermo Conscious Living 🌿)
The first morning practice.
The deep rest afterward, surrounded by silence, interrupted only by the occasional birdsong.
And then, the first dip in the sea.
In the middle of daily life, work, family, and routines, it can feel difficult to step away from all the responsibilities.
But once you arrive on the island and have the space to simply be, you remember:
This is what you needed.
A little less doing.
A little more being.

Summer, slowly. ☀️
There’s something special about yoga practice in the summertime.
No rushing out of the door.
Fewer schedules.
Long moments of sipping the post-practice coffee.
Time for reading, swimming, resting, and noticing the beauty of summer — even in the middle of the city.
This Sunday, at the summer solstice, we begin our Summer Retreat at Kadermo Conscious Living in Hanko.
A few days of yoga, meditation, chanting, sauna, delicious plant-based food, and good company.
And this Thursday is our final online Mysore class before our summer pause. We’ll meet again in August.
However you’re spending these midsummer days, I hope they bring you a little more space, joy, and ease.
Happy midsummer ✨
Heidi

Where do you go when you practice? 👀
Into the breath?
Into your head?
Into “why is this pose suddenly impossible today?” 😅
Yoga has this sneaky way of showing us how we relate to ourselves.
The inner coach.
The critic.
The one trying very hard to be “good.”
The one who just wants a nap in savasana.
And often… we don’t even notice the conversation happening.
This Saturday, we’ll explore all of it together — through practice, reflection, and a little curiosity.
✨ Led Primary Series + Talk
