Last week, all three Finnish groups headed out into the forest together during one of their lessons! 🌲 Since species had been one of the groups’ recent topics, it was the perfect opportunity to learn and practise some Finnish names for familiar plants and berries – including spruce (kuusi), lingonberry (puolukka), funnel chanterelle (suppilovahvero), birch (koivu) and blueberry (mustikka). 🫐🍄‍🟫🌿

A little classroom in the forest and a great way to connect language learning with the nature around us! 🍂

Come to Lärkkulla and prepare with us! Our intensive YKI preparation course will help you practise the skills you need for the exam. You will study with an experienced Finnish-speaking teacher in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We will practise all four language skills through practical exercises and YKI-style tasks. You will also get useful tips and advice about the exam.
Our goal is to help you improve your Finnish and feel more confident on exam day.

The minimum level for participation is A2.2.

Learning a language doesn’t always mean sitting at a desk with a textbook! 📚✨ The other day, our Swedish group practised prepositions in a slightly more active way – by throwing a ball around the hallway. Where did it land? In the basket, under the chair, by the shelf… or somewhere else entirely? 🏀

Sometimes the best way to learn is to move, play and experience the language in action!

Last week, our students visited the annual autumn market in Ekenäs! 🍂

It was a lovely opportunity to experience local culture, wander through the lively market crowds and soak up the warm and cheerful atmosphere. A perfect little taste of Finnish autumn and everyday life in the local community! 🍁✨

Come to Lärkkulla and prepare for your Swedish YKI exam 2027 with us!

Join our intensive YKI preparation course at Lärkkulla! In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, you will study with an experienced Swedish-speaking teacher and practise all the skills you need for the exam.
We will work on practical exercises and YKI-style tasks, improve your language skills, and give you useful tips and advice for the exam. Our goal is to help you feel more prepared and confident on exam day.
