THE ART OF KYUSHO — BEYOND THE THEORY
After more than four decades of studying and teaching Martial Arts, I have learned that understanding Tuite and Kyusho requires more than memorizing points and learning theories.
Over the years, I have explored many different approaches to Kyusho and the older Okinawan arts. My own approach has gradually developed towards anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, structure, timing, and practical application — combined with principles found in old arts such as Tuidi/Tuite.
I am less interested in what we are supposed to believe about a technique.
I am interested in what actually happens in the human body, why it happens, and how the technique can be applied effectively.
This does not mean rejecting tradition. Quite the opposite. It means looking deeper into the old traditions — separating the essential principles from later interpretations, and rediscovering the practical knowledge that may have been hidden within the art itself.
If this approach resonates with you, you are warmly welcome to experience my method in practice at one of my open seminars around Europe.
My next open seminars will take place:
3.10. — Vantaa, Finland
17.-18.10. — Erding, Germany
14.-15.11. — Kirchzarten, Germany
28.11. — Lammi, Finland
