“The best educational ideas grow through play, testing, and collaboration.”

In February 2026, Experience Workshop visited the English-speaking daycare The Fox Nest Daycare as part of the international EARLY-POLY Erasmus+ project.

Together with local educators and teachers in training, we tested hands-on Poly-Universe activities designed for children aged 3–10. The pilot session focused on exercises from the upcoming EARLY-POLY Methodological Study Book, helping us gather valuable classroom feedback and improve the materials before publication.

From colourful patterns to playful problem-solving, the activities encouraged creativity, collaboration, and STEAM learning through exploration and movement.

We’re excited to continue developing tools that support educators across Europe and beyond.

New YouTube video - 100 Children, 5 Days, 30+ STEAM Sessions — Experience Workshop’s Beijing Winter Camp in Motion

What does future-oriented learning look like when children are given space to build, experiment, collaborate, reflect, and imagine together?

A newly released short film from the EW Experience Workshop STEAM Winter Camp in Beijing offers a glimpse into one possible answer.

The intensive one-week program brought together 100 primary school children for more than 30 STEAM learning sessions combining mathematics, engineering, robotics, sustainability, cognitive games, design, and digital learning through playful, hands-on experiences.

“Great ideas grow when educators share them openly.”

We’re excited to share that the EARLY-POLY Methodological Study Book is now published and available free to use in English and Hungarian.

As a proud project partner, Experience Workshop contributed to this international resource, with Kristóf Fenyvesi shaping its STEAM methodology.

The book supports educators with:
🔹 theoretical background for STEAM learning
🔹 practical classroom ideas
🔹 over 90 ready-to-use activities with the Poly-Universe
🔹 themes from logic & maths to storytelling, emotions, nature, and creativity

A hands-on resource created to inspire learning through art, play, and interdisciplinary exploration - especially in preschool and primary education.

What Do Visitors Really See in “Finnish Education”?

How do international educators actually experience Finnish education—beyond reputation, rankings, and policy narratives?

This question was at the centre of a recent collaboration with Florian Waldow, Professor of Comparative and International Education at Humboldt University, Berlin. During a four-week research stay in Finland, Waldow closely followed GEB students participating in study visits organised by Experience Workshop.

“When art, play, and mathematics meet, children discover learning in a whole new way.”

In September 2025, the EARLY-POLY project partners gathered in Mouans-Sartoux for a three-day peer-to-peer meeting and training hosted by Espace de l’Art Concret.

Together with partners from Hungary, Romania, and Finland - including Experience Workshop - the consortium worked on developing teacher training materials and educational plans for preschool and lower primary education as part of the EARLY-POLY methodology.

The collaboration continues as partners prepare the EARLY-POLY methodology book and future teacher trainings.

📍 We’re excited that the next project gathering will take place in Jyväskylä in May 2026, hosted by Experience Workshop.

“Sharing how we learn is the first step toward learning together.”

We’re happy to keep strengthening the Sino-Finnish school partnership between Hua Yuan Primary School and Jyskä Primary School.

After a successful school visit in 2024, the collaboration continues online - building momentum toward the next in-person visit planned for 2026.

Recently, Experience Workshop supported a joint project-based learning webinar, where both schools shared how PBL comes alive in their classrooms. With Kristóf Fenyvesi as methodological advisor, the session highlighted practical examples and real classroom experiences.

🔹 Deputy principal Xu Ying introduced Hua Yuan Primary School
🔹 Finnish teacher Tiina Malste shared Jyskä School’s PBL approach
🔹 An interdisciplinary case study showed how projects connect subjects and cultures

The webinar ended on a warm, forward-looking note - with an open invitation to meet again in Finland. We love seeing partnerships grow through dialogue, trust, and shared learning.

💬 “Making friends from a different culture was the best part. It taught me the importance of being open-minded.”
In November, we were happy to host Csontváry Primary School from Hungary for the second time in Jyväskylä — turning a successful first visit into a lasting educational connection through an Erasmus+ mobility.

For six days, 20 students and their teachers became part of everyday life at Kuokkala Comprehensive School. Students joined real Finnish classes, cooked in home economics lessons, danced for Independence Day preparations, and shared free school lunches with their Finnish peers. Teachers observed lessons, exchanged ideas with colleagues, and explored Finnish classroom culture built on calm, trust, and respect.

Beyond school, the group explored Jyväskylä, enjoyed nature hikes, lakeside grilling, sauna, and a visit to the Aalto2 museum — ending the week with reflection, laughter, and sweet memories.

Thank you to the students and teachers of Csontváry Primary School for returning with curiosity and openness. We’re proud to support journeys that grow into long-term partnerships.
