Tervetuloa Reteen sääntömääräiseen kevätkokoukseen sekä perinteiseen kevätsymposiumiin!

Kevätkokouksessa käsitellään ja vahvistetaan edellisen vuoden toimintakertomus, tilinpäätös sekä toiminnantarkastuslausunto.

Symposiumissa juhlitaan 5-vuotiasta Reteetä teemalla Akateeminen vapaus! Mukana kaksi kutsupuhujaa, jotka alustavat aiheeseen ja keskusteluun. Tauon jälkeen jäsenemme esittelevät omaa tutkimustaan.

Tervetuloa Reteen syyskokoukseen 27.11.2025 klo 16:30 alkaen. Sääntömääräisessä syyskokouksessa vahvistetaan yhdistyksen budjetti ja toimintasuunnitelma vuodelle 2026, valitaan puheenjohtaja ja hallitus vuodelle 2026, päätetään jäsenmaksun suuruudesta lukuvuodelle 2026-27 sekä valitaan toiminnantarkastavat vuodelle 2026. Kokouksessa voi myös ehdottaa muita käsiteltäviä asioita. Suoraan kokouksen jälkeen jatkamme rennommin pikkujoulutunnelmissa! Paikkana Sohwi-ravintolan kabinetti (ulko-ovesta tultaessa oikealla seinustalla). Lämpimästi tervetuloa!

Welcome to Retee's Autumn meeting on November 27 2025 at 4:30 p.m. At the statutory Autumn meeting, the association's budget and action plan for 2026 will be confirmed, the chair and board for 2026 will be elected, the membership fee for the academic year 2026-27 will be decided, and the inspectors for 2026 will be selected. Other matters may also be proposed for discussion at the meeting. Immediately after the meeting, we will continue in a more relaxed atmosphere with a Christmas party! The venue is the Sohwi restaurant's cabinet (on the right-hand side as you enter through the front door). You are warmly welcome!

⭐️Board introduction continues with our board member Anduena! Board members can have different areas of responsibility. Possible responsibilities are, for example, sending event invitations via email, making event posters, booking rooms and meeting owl for meetings, updating our web page, etc. There are a lot of interesting things to do!⭐️

⭐️Who are you?

I am Anduena, a doctoral researcher at the Teacher Education Department. I have been a board member since 2021.

⭐️Why did you join Retee’s board?

I am a strong believer of the role community and peer support for early career researchers and I mirrored myself in this association, which reflects my values and beliefs.

⭐️What has been the best thing about being a board member?

The opportunity to impact or change perspectives on support for early career researchers.

⭐️What would you like to say to someone who is considering joining the board?

It is a good opportunity to support other early career researchers, at the same time understand how a board association works.

⭐️Board introduction continues with our treasurer Minni! Treasurer's role is to take care of association's money and accounts. What a responsible job!⭐️

⭐️Who are you?

I’m Minni, a post doctoral researcher in KTL and OKL. This year I have been acting as the treasurer of Retee and previously I acted as the chair.

⭐️Why did you join Retee’s board?

I was there (3000 years ago…) when we established Retee and have been part of the board ever since. I joined because I feel that it’s important to be part of the young researchers’ community and try to improve those things that are important for us!

⭐️What has been the best thing about being a board member?

I have enjoyed the feeling of community in Retee. Even if we have never met before, there is a link between us as young researchers of education at JYU - we share the same concerns and happy moments. Also my favorite things have included all the writing retreats and annual symposiums of Retee.

⭐️What would you like to say to someone who is considering joining the board?

Just do it! In the board there is always room for people who are interested in joining and in my opinion, this is one of the most fun and easy ways to network and make a difference!

⭐️Board introduction continues with our vice chair Essi! Vice chair's role is to be "chair's right hand" - act as a chair when the chair themself cannot make it. Vice chair also does what needs to be done, e.g. room bookings for events!⭐️

⭐️Who are you?

I’m Essi, a doctoral researcher in KTL. This year I’ve been acting as the vice-chair and secretary of Retee.

⭐️Why did you join Retee’s board?

I joined the Retee board two years ago, as I wanted to get to know other young researchers who are doing research in our faculty and find peer support from our community.

⭐️What has been the best thing about being a board member?

Best thing has been the feeling of community in Retee. I have also learned about working in international networks, which I think is important for a researcher. Annual symposiums are my favorite events Retee has organized.

⭐️What would you like to say to someone who is considering joining the board?

Warmly welcome to join Retee! In addition to working with wonderful people and the possibility to make a difference, you can get study credits from being a board member.

Autumn meeting is around the corner, so it's time to think about Retee's next board! In this week, we will introduce our current board members and their roles. We need new people to keep Retee alive - if becoming a member of a warm and supportive community and acting as a voice of early career researchers sounds interesting, come and join us!

⭐️Today it's the turn of our current chair Jasmin. Chair's role is to lead the board, chair the meetings and know what's going on. Chair is also in touch with our collaborators and sends important emails to our members (e.g., meeting invitations).⭐️

⭐️Who are you?

I’m Jasmin, a doctoral researcher and a highschool teacher. This year I’ve been acting as a chair of Retee.

⭐️Why did you join Retee’s board?

Two years ago I had noticed that there were some things related to the rights of doctoral researchers that I found unfair. So, I thought that Retee’s board would be a good way to make a change. I was also hoping to find a community, as doing doctoral research during the corona pandemic was quite lonely.

⭐️What has been the best thing about being a board member?

People I’ve met, all the fun things we have organized (e.g. a writing retreat in Konnevesi research station), and the possibility to act as a voice of young researchers.

⭐️What would you like to say to someone who is considering joining the board?

If you are considering it even a little bit, go for it! You don’t need to have previous experience with associations, there are people who will help you. And this is not a lonely job - you can always ask for help!

Retee ry:n sääntömääräinen kevätkokous järjestetään torstaina 13.4. kello 16:30 hybridimuotoisesti Zoomissa (https://jyufi.zoom.us/j/65008059254) ja livenä Jyväskylän yliopiston Ruusupuistorakennuksen RUU B103 MINNA -tilassa (Alvar Aallon katu 9, 40014 Jyväskylä, 1. kerros). Kokouksen kesto on n. 60 min.

Kaikki jäsenet on lämpimästi kutsuttu kokoukseen. Kevätkokouksessa tehdään katsaus yhdistyksen edelliseen vuoteen ja käsitellään ja vahvistetaan toimintakertomus, tilinpäätös sekä toiminnantarkastuslausunto.

Kokouksen jälkeen halukkaat voivat siirtyä after workeille ravintola Sohwiin. Mikäli et pääse osallistumaan itse kokoukseen, voit silti tulla moikkaamaan ja hengailemaan kanssamme Sohwiin 😊
