ENO Tree Planting Days - ENO Schoolnet Association ENO invites schools, communities and other stakeholders to participate in ENO Tree Planting Days! Climate change is one of the most urgent and biggest problems. We all have to do our part to reduce the effect of climate change. A good way to tie carbon is to plant trees and forests!

We are also taking part in the major outdoor learning event ULOS–UT–OUT, taking place on 9–11 June. The ENO Schoolnet’s Community as classroom -Place based learning workshop can be found among the virtual workshops under the name PBL -hanke. Come and check it out!

The event is Finland’s largest outdoor learning conference and will be held in Tampere on 9–11 June 2026.

ENO Tree Planting Day, 22 May 2026:
A total of 513 climate superheroes representing four different tree species (birch, fir, pine, and small-leaved lime) were planted in the municipality of Kontiolahti by 5th-grade students from Kylmäoja School in order to create a strong and resilient mixed forest near a future residential area.
In addition to the brave students, special thanks go to Kontiolahti Municipality’s Environmental Affairs Manager, Mr. Antti Suontama, and his staff for providing the location, educational activities and seedlings; to the Eco2adapt project for its support, educational activities and small-leaved lime seedlings; and to VEME OY for the excellent Sisuputki planting tubes and birch seedlings.
The day was filled with super energy and enthusiasm — despite a bit of rain.
