Our team is hosting the 4th Saimaa ringed seal symposium (Saimaannorppasymposium) on the 25th and 26th of March 2025. The symposium covers a vast number of topics from the latest news on the seal ecology and conservation to the interaction with fisheries. The symposium end with a panel discussion on the origin of the seal and whether the Saimaa ringed seal should be considered as its own species.
