Then we got IForest (Mandy Han & Aki Partanen) who participated our StarUp Passion Competition this year. Northen European countries have one of the highest number of startups per capita in the world. Their experience tried to be copied worldwide. Just think: Skype was developed in Estonia, Angry Birds and Clash of Clans created in Finland, and Latvia have the quirky CatchBox and Sorry as a Service. It seems that there is something special in this region’s air that smells of pine, 10-gigabit internet and innovative technologies. How did it happen that these small countries became the centre of the startup world? Let’s observe the history of the startup movement in the region and the exciting ecosystems that keep startup passion alive.

Production of the documentary 'Behind the Passion of Northern European Startup' is supported by Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020.
