Spring in Our Classroom 🌷

Our students welcomed the beauty of spring in the most creative way! Through hands-on arts and crafts, they designed colorful spring flowers using threads, paper, and lots of imagination.

This activity helped develop their fine motor skills, patience, and creativity while also allowing them to express the joy and freshness that spring brings 🌼

Each flower is unique, just like our students, and together they’ve created a beautiful garden full of color and positivity 🌿✨

We are so proud of their effort and creativity!

Our lower grade students combined imagination, fine motor skills, and lots of enthusiasm as they designed and made cozy little beanies for their penguins.

🐧🧶 Each beanie was unique, just like its creator, showing wonderful creativity, patience, and attention to detail.

🎨🟩 Minecraft-Inspired Art! 🟫🎮

Our students brought the Minecraft world to life through art and craft, using creativity, shapes, and colors to design their own pixel-style masterpieces. So much learning and fun in one activity! 👏💚

During the past month, in media education lessons, students in Grades 3-6 learned how to prepare presentations and today they presented their work in front of the class, practicing their presentation skills while also learning how to listen to one another respectfully.🖥️

❄️Last week our students took part in a magical interdisciplinary project that brought the Arctic world to life right inside our school! 🌍✨

Together, we transformed one of our classrooms into a snowy Arctic landscape — complete with a handmade paper igloo, whales, icebergs, polar animals, and sparkling winter details created by the students themselves. 🐋🏔️❄️

Through art, creativity, science, and teamwork, our learners explored themes such as Arctic habitats, climate, wildlife, and environmental responsibility. The excitement in their eyes as the classroom slowly turned into a polar world was priceless! 💙

At Norden International School of Helsinki, we believe that learning becomes truly meaningful when imagination and hands-on experiences come together. And this project was the perfect example of that.

Our creative lower-grade students explored a new art and craft technique this week — ripped paper collage! Using torn pieces of colorful paper and newspaper as a background, they built vibrant fruit and vegetables compositions full of texture and personality. 🍉🍊

This activity helped them practice fine motor skills, color recognition, and spatial awareness, all while discovering that art doesn’t need to be perfect to be beautiful, but all you need is imagination 🌈✨

Our lower-grade students brought the ocean to life this week by creating their very own paper aquariums! Using colored paper, scissors, glue, and lots of imagination, they designed beautiful underwater scenes filled with fish, seaweed, and coral. 🐡💦

This hands-on art and craft project helped our young artists explore creativity, color composition, and fine motor skills, all while having fun!💙🌊
