At Djangu organization, we don't only encourage people to plant trees because of a green environment but we also care about our citizen's health. For example;
1.Tree viewing helps us decrease stress.
2. Provides clean air for breathing
3. Improve mental health
4. Trees encourage us to be more active
5. Trees help in social connections

Thanks to the medical team of Wakitaka health center III for joining us in planting trees around the facility.

Involving children in tree planting is one of the best strategies in attaining a green environment.
As a child grows so does their tree.
This connection between the child and their tree leads to increased environmental awareness and care hence giving children a "sense of belonging"

Earlier this week our field team conducted surveys around different primary schools and Health centers in Mafibira subcounty. Wakitaka Health centre III and Nagawa Memorial P/S in Kanhogoga Jinja. They discussed with them the benefits of having trees and fruits within their environment. Given that majority of those health centres and schools barely have any fruit bearing trees within their vicinity. We saw it necessary to continuously engage with such communities to act as examples to the rest on issues around environmental hygiene and health.

And as we go on with our initiatives of , and encouraging the locals to have a green and health environment. We need not to neglect our health centers. These are facilities that house majority of the vulnerable people whose health and wellbeing can be very much boosted when a fruit is included into their diet. Or even have trees to provide them with shades.

Every change begins and ends with us and when we take care of our environment, it will in turn take care of us. 🌲🌴🪴🌳

Few weeks ago we embark on one of our major goal of .

We at Djangu believe that the journey to a greener and healthy community begins with us who can lend a hand to those that can't.

For there is no greater good we can't meet when we stand together. That being said, we would like to challenge ourselves to be the change we expect in our community. What is your excuse of not being a part of those that are striving to have green and a healthy environment? You too can.

Let's come together and Improve the livelihood of our young generation by providing them with a plant/fruit they can nurture. Just like your child deserve that pet. Let a tree/fruit be that green pet that your child or the children in your community can nurture, with the hope they can be a source of food, medicine and health boaster in their lives in time to come.

We would like to thank our team on ground who have doing great job. And today we visited Hill Primary School in Jinja City.

The goal is to have every child have a plant or fruit of their choice to nurture. When you teach your child to learn the value of grooming something, trust me their lives won't be the same when they grow.

Let's strive to have a greener and fruitful environment.
