📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE for the Finnish Taxi Industry

New regulations for the taxi industry will be introduced in stages from 1 September 2026.

🚖 Taxi Driver Licence

• Until 31 October 2026, you can still take the Taxi Driver Examination without completing the 21-hour training.

• From 1 November 2026, completing the 21-hour Taxi Driver Training will be mandatory before taking the Taxi Driver Examination at Ajovarma.

• When renewing your Taxi Driver License, you will also be required to complete a 7-hour refresher training, as required by Traficom.

🚕 Taxi Entrepreneurship (Taxi Transport Licence)

• From 1 September 2026, Traficom will be responsible for organizing the Taxi Entrepreneurship Examination.

• A 21-hour approved Taxi Entrepreneurship Training remains mandatory before taking the examination.

• If you completed the Taxi Entrepreneurship Training under the previous system but did not pass the old examination by 31 August 2026, you will need to complete the new approved training before taking Traficom's examination, as the training requirements and syllabus have changed.

• 13, –15 July (09:00–17:00)
• 31 July, –2 August (09:00–17:00)
• 14, –16 August (09:00–17:00)

🚖 Taxi Driver Course
• 8–9 August (10:00–16:00)
