The training program should always adapt to the athlete, not the other way around. Load, intensity, complexity and focus shift with the season, injury status, game calendar, travel and stage of development. Because your readiness, and physical and mental load is constantly shifting.

Strength, skill, coordination and speed shouldn’t be treated as separate boxes. They need to be trained as one system, combining movement patterns and directions, muscle actions and sport skills directly into strength and conditioning. That’s how training actually transfers into real performance.

Basics first. Then progressive complexity. More specific exercises can be justified when they truly support the athlete’s goal, but only after the fundamentals are solid.

No templates. No fixed paths. Coaching should adapt to your body, your life and your sport. Sometimes it’s about rebuilding, forward on the injury’s terms. Sometimes it’s about pushing performance.

Does your training really adapt to where you are right now? That’s where real performance begins.

How sport-specific should your off-season or supplementary training really be? 🤔

The world of sports is diverse: every sport places different demands on technique, movement, and skill. In some sports, style matters. In others, only the end result counts. That’s where sport analysis and functional training come in, understanding how the requirements of your sport meet the way the human body naturally moves.

In the clips the athletes walks through movement patterns that develop key physical and skill-based qualities essential for performance. Even if a drill looks sport-specific, the reasons behind it are athletic: body control, strength, coordination, rhythm, and the ability to repeat quality movement. These elements appear across almost every sport.

It’s important to understand how your sport’s demands and physical training work together. You move in certain ways because of your sport, and you need specific qualities to perform at your best. Don’t forget what you’re training for, but also remember that the human body moves the way it’s built to move, no matter the sport.

The hero of the day at World Cup Levi .hallberg 🏆❄️

Last year, Eddie scored the first World Cup points of his career right here in Levi. Today, the 22-year-old delivered something truly historic, becoming the first Finnish male skier in 18 years to reach a World Cup podium and achieving the best Finnish men’s result ever in Levi. 🥉

He opened with what he called “a solid basic run,” good enough for 5th place and just 0.90 seconds from the lead. In the second run, he pushed even harder, climbing two more spots and securing a career-defining podium.

Congrats Eddie! A performance that rewrites the history books. 🇫🇮🔥

No matter the sport, your performance is built on the same foundation: strength, movement quality, resilience, and the ability to handle training load.

Physical training isn’t something you simply add on, it’s what keeps you progressing, performing, and staying healthy, season after season.

At SAHA, every athlete gets an individualized plan tailored to their training rhythm, competition calendar, and specific sport demands.

But the plan alone doesn’t make the difference, you do. You have to put in the hours. Consistency, recovery, gym work, repetition. That’s what builds the kind of performance that lasts.

Have you thought about the importance of physical training in your sport?

Last week, trail runner .erkkila conquered Kullamannen by UTMB® (108 km | 1088 m+) in Sweden’s Kullaberg, taking the victory and setting a new course record with a time of 9:12:02! 🥇🤯

What a way to close the season. Congratulations, Anna-Stiina, a phenomenal performance and a well-deserved win. 💥

⛰️ The Kullamannen 100 km starts in Höganäs with a flat section before heading into Kullaberg. With just over 1000 m of elevation, it’s a fast course, but the technical trails, rocky terrain, and exposed coastline make it demanding from start to finish.

, you did it! 🇫🇮

The first Finnish woman ever to conquer the legendary Diagonale des Fous (180 km | 10 500 m+).

Winner of her age category and 6th in the women’s league, an absolutely historic achievement! 💪🔥

On Johanna’s profile, you can find more insights about the race, the brutal terrain, and what it really takes to finish one of the toughest ultras in the world. She also became only the second Finn ever to complete this epic challenge, making history for Finnish ultra running. 🏔️

Huge congrats and hats off! 🙌👏
