🎪 Arabian Katufestivaali and Repair Thursday's extra workshop on Saturday 16th, 12-16! Same place as always (Tekniikan museo - työpaja) ♻️


🪴 REPAIR THURSDAY´S SPECIAL GARDENING POTS WORKSHOP (Saturday 16th May)

Bring a broken or worn-out flower pot and give it new life! In this Repair Thursday workshop you can try creative repair techniques like kintsugi-inspired fixing, epoxy glue, air-dry clay and decoupage.
You can also upcycle pots from workshop materials.
Held in English at the Museum of Technology.

👩🏻‍🎓 If you're a regular participant and want to work on your project, you are welcome to do so as well 🤗

Otherwise welcome to our regular sessions. The 14th museum is closed, so we have no workshop then and 28th May is our last official meeting before the summer - it's when this round of the project ends. But we've applied for a continuation and we should know soon, if Helsinki City will fund the 3rd round of this project. Since it's VERY successful (and that warms my heart so much ❤️) I hope yes. Please keep all your fingers and extremities crossed 🤞 I'll keep you posted!

This month we will finally have special expert Rashika - last month that workshop was cancelled! 👇🏻

🍜 On 19th March, expert in natural dyeing Rashika will teach how to use food scraps to dye the textiles!

Rashika has been working in fashion industry for over a decade with hands on knowledge in natural dyeing. In this session you will get an introduction to natural dyeing. The session covers how everyday organic waste can be used to create color for textiles, with a focus on practical techniques like fabric preparation and basic dye application. The goal is to equip you with usable skills while encouraging a more circular, mindful approach to working with materials in fashion and textiles ♻️🎨👗👕

🔥We provide tools and materials needed for basic sessions as well for special ones. Just come as you are! And bring your friends with you! No need to register, just come anytime 16-19 on Thursdays to the museum of technology (Viikintie 1D, Helsinki). If you have WhatsApp, join the group by scanning QR code in the pictures above! 📲

📍To remind you, we are now in a new spot at the museum (check the video from previous posts) - we moved from next to the orange crane to a big and spacy workshop room (työpaja) where we even have an electric table for more ergonomic work! ⚡😉

🪵 We also have an access to a woodworking room (separate building in front of the museum) where we can tackle more ambitious projects! ⚒️💪🏻
