Our very first sitsit of the year is here! Let us introduce - Bring a Finn Sitsit! 💃🏻🕺🏼🇫🇮

Together, ESN Aalto, ESN Helga and ESN Laurea invite you all to this years first ESN Sitsit in Helsinki and the theme is Bring a Finn! 👯‍♂️

With the Bring a Finn Sitsit the idea is that the international students bring a Finnish friend with them to the sitsit, or vice versa, to form more friendships across nationalities and bring the locals closer to the international students. 💙🌍🤍

But don’t worry, bringing a Finn is not totally compulsory, but by doing so you are entitled to the Bring a Finn duo ticket which offers a 25% discount for the second person’s ticket in your pair! Solo tickets are full price. 🎟️

Join us to an exquisite International Dinner at Helga Kitchen and bring your favourite foods, deserts or snacks from your home country for everyone to taste! 🤤

Our International Dinner is a potluck type of a dinner gathering where everyone brings foods that represent their home country’s food culture. So choose and prepare your favourite national dish and introduce and share it at our dinner on Tuesday 28.2. from 18:00! ➡️

Important information:

- Spots are limited to 30 people, so prepare to make enough food for everyone!
- The first hour of the dinner (from 18:00-19:00) is dedicated for cooking and preparing the foods, and the dinner itself should start at 19:00.
- The dinner is free of charge! Just bring yourself, your chosen national food and an open mind! 🤩
- Bring a list of all ingredients used in case of allergies.
- Registration to the dinner will close on Monday 27.2. at 21:00.

PS. Helga Kitchen has some room and facilities for cooking and preparing the foods, but we recommend you prepare the foods at home prior to the dinner as far as best suitable!

Meet our new board member - Liam! 🥳

A week ago on Monday 13.2. the board of ESN Helga elected a new member to its board and the position of Board Support was given to Liam Healy!

In cooperation with the rest of the board, Liam will be involved in organizing all sorts of activities to our exchange students while taking part in ensuring the operations of the board run smoothly. 😎

Ahooy all pirates and party people! The beloved Pirates of the Baltic Sea cruise will happen again this year on 1. - 3.4. Welcome aboard, yarrr! 🏴‍☠️🦜⚓️

PoBS is a biannual student cruise, uniting 1000+ students from all over Finland and the Baltic countries! The cruise makes its way from Helsinki to Stockholm, and you have a chance to visit the Swedish capital while also experience two nights of partying with fellow students from all over the world!

Psst! The dress code is PIRATES and the best costumes will be awarded. 🏆

ESN Helga is looking for a new board member to fill the role of Board Support!

As a board member you will be involved in all sorts of board activities: e.g. planning and organising trips, events and other activities, communicating with partners, and attending ESN meetings on all levels!

Essentially your duty will be fulfilling the ESN core value - students helping students - ensuring our exchange students have the best possible experience with us.

The new board member will be elected from the applicants in our upcoming Additional General Meeting taking place on Monday 13.2. at 19.00.

We invite you all to a Valentine’s Day Party Pre-Hangout with us before the official party organised by our friends HSOY & Atkins. 💞

At the Pre-Hangout we are hosting a Beer Pong Tournament and the Top 3 champions will be awarded! Other V-Day related activities are also happening for everyone to get to know each other and maybe find that special someone. 😍

After the Pre-Hangout we will head to the official party by HSOY & Atkins taking place at Baarikärpänen. Ticket to the party is not included in the price of the Pre-Hangout, so make sure to get the separate ticket to the afterparty.

Hey new student and exchange students, are you ready for Fresher’s Day? Next week on Wednesday Helga will hold a freshers’ day for you new students. The ticket sales will end this Friday, 3rd of February at 2 pm, so get your tickets as soon as possible! 🤯

Freshers’ day is an event for the new Haaga-Helia students. Under the guidance of their tutors, freshers get to know student culture, student associations and Helga's cooperation partners. In addition to this, you also get to participate in fun activities which are meant to help you to get to know your fellow students and help your group to get acquainted with each other. 💃

During the event, the tutors go around different checkpoints with their groups. On the checkpoints freshers perform fun tasks while trying to get as many points as possible. You can win prizes for the best outfit, team spirit or team points from the event. 😎

This event is for all Haaga-Helia students so exchange students have a great change to get in touch with the local degree students and make new friends!

Welcome to join us on a Trivia Night at Pasila campus’ Helga Kitchen this Thursday at 18.00! This is our first Thursday gathering which will from now on take place every other week after this week! 🥰

This week we will start off with trivia, quizzes, and board games are also available along with getting to know each other and socialising! 🎯

Bring yourselves, snacks and of course your best knowledge! The smartest student of the evening will be awarded with a price! 🏆🧠

We announce an Additional General Meeting to take place on Monday the 13th of February as we are seeking for reinforcement to our board.

We are looking for one additional member to the ranks of our current board and we have an open position for Board Support.
