Educator’s Tips 💡Foing darker with Luxima Base
Darkening previously lightened hair takes more than simply choosing a darker shade.

In this video, our educator Antero shares his tips for using Luxima Base when taking previously lightened hair noticeably darker and creating a balanced, predictable result.

💡 Pro tip: When hair has been lightened, some of the underlying warm pigments are missing. Take this into account when building your formula. Adding the warmth the base needs helps prevent the result from becoming too cool, hollow or muddy.

Need more body without making the hair feel overstyled?
Miia’s tip: build the texture before you reach for the hairspray. 💥

Thickening Spray works both ways: apply to towel dried hair before blow drying to build body and texture, or use it on dry hair when you want to add more texture to the finished style. 💇

How to Remove Direct Dye with Makeover.

Did you know Makeover can also be used to remove direct dye pigments?
In this video, we’re using Makeover to remove pink direct dye and create a cleaner base for the next colour service.

For direct dye removal, mix Makeover 1:1 with lukewarm water. Apply the product and process for up to 30 minutes without heat, while monitoring the result.

💡 Good to know: When mixed with water, Makeover doesn’t lift untreated hair. It works on the direct dye pigment without lightening the natural base.

A useful technique to have in your colour correction toolbox when unwanted direct dye pigments need to go.
