Ensitapaamisessa ehdittiin jo hiukan tutustua, lukea yhdessä ja leikkiä ulkona. Kummioppilastoiminta tuo kouluarkeemme rutkasti yhteisöllisyyttä, turvaa ja kouluviihtyvyyttä. Oli ihana seurata pienten innostusta ja isompien upeaa huolenpitoa! 🌼

Our 1st and 5th grade buddy program is officially underway!

During their first meeting, the students got to know each other, read together, and play outside. The buddy program brings the sense of community, safety, and joy to our everyday school life. It was wonderful to see the excitement of the little ones and the fantastic care shown by the older students! 🌼

Elementary school was welcomed back to school by our Director Petri and Principal Kaarina. ✨️

The 5th graders made these origami bookmarks as a welcome present for their 1st grade kummis/buddies.

Viidesluokka aloitti kouluvuoden tekemällä kirjanmerkit kummioppilailleen.

Finally at Mount Clear College in Ballarat. Had an Australian lunch, went on a tour of the school, made scones, tasted Finnish salmon soup, rye bread and salty licorice and sat in a couple of classes. Saw live music in the evening. Tomorrow is a new day!
