Our favorite season has finally bloomed 🌸✨
Fresh green grass, new leaves on the trees, and brighter days all around. Nature is waking up, and we are loving every moment of it!
There’s nothing we enjoy more than playing outside with friends, exploring, and soaking up the outdoors. We spend so much of our time outside, and for good reason!
Being outdoors supports children in so many wonderful ways. It encourages imagination and creativity, helps develop social skills through play, supports physical growth and movement, and boosts overall well-being. Fresh air and nature also help children feel calm, curious, and more connected to the world around them.
Playing and learning outdoors is where the best kindergarten days happen 💛🌼 Can’t wait to keep sharing with you all these fantastic moments.

What a lovely day we had on our field trip to Haltia Nature Center 🌿🚌✨
We traveled comfortably by private bus and arrived full of excitement for the day ahead. The children had so much fun playing outside, exploring nature, and just enjoying the fresh air 🌲
Inside the nature center, we visited the exhibition where the kids learned more about Finnish nature in such a fun and interactive way 🦉🍃 It was amazing to see their curiosity and enthusiasm!
We also shared a cozy lunch together at the restaurant 🍽️ It was a beautiful, fun, and educational day. The kids did a wonderful job representing our group 💛
A big thank you to Tiina and Antti Herlin’s foundation for making this special trip possible 🙏✨

Yesterday at daycare we had a really fun art time with clay 😊
The little heroes played with soft clay, making patterns and shapes with their hands. They pressed, poked, and carved, feeling all the different textures 🎨
When they were ready, we poured gypsum on top to make casts. There was lots of excitement while we waited! 👀 Then the magic moment, when the clay designs turned into solid pieces
It was a lovely, calm activity that helped the children use their hands, be creative, and practice patience. Every piece came out a little different and very special 💛

This week at daycare, we took a little trip back in time with our Old Technology Exhibition. 📞📺📀📹
The little heroes got to see how people used to communicate, listen to music, and take photos before smartphones and tablets were around. They explored things like old telephones, radios, typewriters, and cameras, and were especially amazed that none of them had touchscreens! 📲
There were lots of great questions and conversations as the children shared their thoughts and imagined what life was like in the past. Getting to see (and in some cases try) how the devices worked made it even more exciting.
It was a fun and engaging way to spark their curiosity and help them understand how much technology has changed over time. We loved seeing their enthusiasm and hearing all their creative ideas! 💙

It’s Friday! our highlight of the da is here before heading to the weekend 🌈✨
During our morning circle, we explored colours in a fun and hands-on way. The children used bright cartoon stickers to match with the correct coloured buckets on the whiteboard.
This activity helps children recognise and name colours, strengthens their visual discrimination skills, and supports early problem-solving. Matching games also build concentration and hand-eye coordination in a playful way.
The children were fully engaged, enjoying the colourful patterns and the excitement of getting each match just right 🎨😊 It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and confidence grow as they learned through play.

Today we’re having a wonderful story time in our kindergarten! 📚🐾
We explored a fun lift-the-flap book about a little cat who loved to hide. The children were so engaged, and along the way, we named different animals and shared lots of laughter together.
We read the story in Swedish, as part of our multilingual environment, giving children the opportunity to hear and practice another language in a natural and playful way.
This activity supported important learning goals. Through interactive storytelling, children developed their curiosity, language skills, and early vocabulary as they identified animals and described what they saw. Listening in Swedish helped strengthen their multilingual awareness and comprehension.
A joyful moment of learning through play and books! 💛

We had a lovely time at Lahnalahti Park, where we met the reading dogs Nekku and Pätkis 🐶🐾
They were so calm and gentle, and it was really nice to see how they help make reading feel more relaxed and fun. A special little moment that made the day feel extra nice.
Thanks, Nekku and Pätkis 💛📚
