We have crafted you a free Monologue & Object solo practice for discovering how to easily bring layers and nuance to a monologue or self-tape. All you need is a phone camera, a monologue and an ordinary object. You record the same monologue twice, once without the exercise and once with it, then compare the two takes.

The worksheet includes a sample monologue, guided questions and a shared folder where you can upload your takes if you like.

👉 Comment PRACTICE and we'll send you the free worksheet.

Have fun, folks 💛

Remember the last time you completely let your guard down? 🌿

Maybe it was a laugh that got out of control. A long walk with someone who just gets you. A conversation where you forgot to worry about how you were coming across.

We all wear a bit of armor. It's just a way of looking after ourselves, and it has its place. But it's good to know you can set it down sometimes, and that the road feels a lot lighter when you do.

Try it this week. Say the silly thing. Stay five minutes longer. Let yourself be a little more you.

What's the moment you feel most like yourself? Tell us below 👇 Or send this to someone who makes you feel that way 🤍

OYT vol 13 just wrapped its first two modules with Nita Arpiainen, and they're on fire 🔥

We are witnessing great progress and breakthroughs already. It feels like everyone was meant to be in this room together. Thank you all for showing up so honestly, listening so deeply, building courage and letting oneself be seen step by step.

Next up is the Voice and Movement module with Deborah Garvey, the newest addition to Actors Academy's team of coaches, joining us from London. Deborah is part of the BA Acting voice team at RADA and a visiting lecturer at LAMDA, and we're so excited to have her with us.

And welcome again to the entire vol 13 group, you've made this start something special.

Also, swipe to the last slide to see the students be all very much in love with Actors Academy's new lead coach 🤍

See you soon, friends!

Ready to take your Acting Further in 2027? 🎬

Whether you’re taking your first serious steps into acting or you’re an experienced professional looking to challenge your craft, we have two training paths starting in Helsinki next Spring.

One Year Training — March 2027

A Meisner-based training for beginners and actors with developing experience. Build a strong foundation in truthful, instinctive acting, develop your confidence and presence, and learn practical tools for auditions, stage and working on camera. Finish the year with a professional Showreel, Headshots and a Live Performance for industry guests.

Advance Actor’s lab — May 2027

This training is for professional actors, trained performers and Actors Academy One Year Training alumni ready to build real momentum. Diving deeper into Advanced Meisner work, Screen Acting, Character, Text, Voice & Movement, alongside professional practices including Stage Combat, Intimacy Coordination & Career Branding.

Both programs are part-time, consisting of intense weekend modules with online classes in between—designed to give you focused, consistent international level training in English alongside work, other studies or an active acting career.

Two different starting points. One shared goal: deeper, more truthful and confident acting, making you ready for the national and international industry.

Applications for both 2027 programs are now open—and as the groups are already being shaped, early submission is recommended.

One year. That's how long it takes to go from your first repetition exercise in the training room to standing on a real film set, with a professional crew next to you – camera rolling.

That's what we've built the One Year Training around — deep Meisner work, real time in front of a camera, and coaches who've trained actors at drama schools across the UK. Not a shortcut, but a proper foundation: the kind that holds up once you're actually in the room.

By the end, you're not just more prepared — you walk away with the material to prove it. A showreel, headshots, a voice reel, and a live showcase in front of the people who do casting. And we've seen where that foundation leads: our graduates have gone on to work on Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Paramount+ productions and more.

Come try the technique first. Our Meisner Intro Session (24 Nov, live & online) is a way in, and the Meisner Technique Workshop (25–26 Nov, live in Helsinki) is for those who want to go a bit deeper. Both sessions are led by Ashlie Walker (UK).

If this is the year you stop waiting for the right moment, applications are open now in Helsinki and Oslo. Link in bio for all the details.

Denis Muksunov, an Actors Academy’s One Year Training graduate, talks about his actor’s journey, about letting go and setting himself free from the pressure of having to always become more, and how it led him to the actor he is today.

We’re delighted to see many of our alumni coming together in a pilot for an Estonian upcoming film series Esheria Chronicles, where Denis can be seen in the lead role.

This is exactly what we teach: how to enter the industry with real craft, knowledge, confidence and readiness to back it up. We can't wait for the film to come out and watch Denis absolutely crush it 😎

Go Denis! 💛

For those who would like to start their journey to their authentic talent too, applications are open now to Helsinki and Oslo. Find more information from the link in our bio.

Authentic acting asks you to stop trying to be someone else and start recognizing who you actually are. Your fears. Your desires. Your contradictions. Your truth.

When you finally choose yourself instead of chasing a version of you that doesn't exist, that's when the camera and the audience truly see and feel you.

This is about making a choice. And now it is your chance to make it.

Meisner Technique Workshop — November 25-26th

Meet Tim Kent — over twenty-five years at the forefront of British film, multi-award winning director, and a coach at Actors Academy.

From running a West End talent agency representing household names to directing over 200 professional projects, Tim brings real industry experience into every class, having coached established actors, politicians, sports stars, and TV personalities.

What makes Tim's coaching transformative is his belief that great on-camera acting comes from understanding your instrument and learning to be present under pressure. He doesn't teach you how to act. He teaches you how to be real when the stakes are imaginary.

His work challenges actors to shed their armor, trust their instincts, and discover what happens when technique meets vulnerability. Actors leave his classes changed.

We're so grateful to have Tim on board with us 💛
