A study has shown that metformin, a type 2 diabetes drug, may help the immune system to better identify cancer cells and boost the immune response against them.

"Real listening is a willingness to let the other person change you." -Communication training by Kimmo Kääriä.

This year our scientific focus day included a workshop on team communication skills. These skills are especially important as we spend A LOT of time discussing ideas, results, techniques, etc..

After the workshop we got to finish the day with a lovely spin around the Haltia exhibit at Nuuksio.

Great communication = great teamwork = great science 🥼🧪🔬
