8th Finlandia International Piano Competition (previously known as WPTA Finland) categories: Piano Solo, Piano Duo/Duet, Piano Concerto:

Concerto

Emerging Section: Below 10 years (one movement of a concerto)
Youth Section: 11- 16 years (one movement of a concerto)
Young Artist Section: 17 – 20 years (one or two movement of a concerto)
Artist: 21 – 35 years (full concerto)

You can record your performance with full orchestra or present your interpretation with a second piano accompaniment, giving you the flexibility to showcase your artistry at the highest level, wherever you are. Whether it’s the power of an orchestral collaboration or the clarity of a piano reduction, your musical voice takes center stage!

We are proud to celebrate one of our past Absolute Award winners, Caden Chan (9 yrs old), who continues to shine on the international stage. Since his success at the Finlandia International Piano Competition in 2025, Caden has gone on to achieve remarkable milestones, earning Absolute Award at the Singapore International Music Competition 2025, First Prize at the Charleston Winter Competition 2026 and First Prize at XVII Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CA 🏆

The 7th WPTA Finland International Piano Competition Gala Concert and Award Ceremony brought together young prize-winning pianists from over nine countries in Finland. 🇫🇮🌍
