🇬🇧Best ever vegetable stock. When you have a little time a lazy Sunday for food prep - cut up two or three baking trays worth of carrots, celery root, onion and roast them on low heat - or higher heat for shorter time if you are in a hurry! Then simmer with water and a teaspoon of whole black pepper for a few hours and drain. Press as much of the juices as possible into a jar - including some of the vegetable pulp for a super super tasty vegetable stock packed with flavour. Don't throw the pulp! Use it or freeze it and mix it wirh beetroot or something else into a delicious colourful mash. Can be thefoundation of a wonderful hearty soup!

Can a chocolate cake be both super delicious 😋 AND have only good for you ingredients? Yes it can 🥳! This chocolate cake has wowed both my family and friends. Even my daughter who was somewhat suspicious when she heard one of the main ingredients is black beans. Black beans work beautifully with chocolate - lending it a caramelly flavour. The secret - one secret - 🤫 is to toss the cooked beans in the oven for a few moments to intensify the flavour. You can skip this step, but it does make a difference. And no, there's no sugar or white flour in this delicious cake 😇 (I managed to save the very last tiny piece of cake for a quick photo shoot before it disappeared into a happy mouth)
