As a kick-off to long-term collaboration, V.M Public School partnered with FGES to enrich teaching and learning for both educators and students. As part of this collaboration, FGES conducted a series of teacher trainings on key topics, including the Finnish approach to early years education, general literacy skills, the FGES literacy program, and supporting English as an additional language. In addition, FGES worked closely with the teachers to design effective and child-friendly learning environments.

Throughout the week, teachers engaged in implementation tasks and daily reflections, helping them apply what they learned in practical ways. The trainings emphasized hands-on learning methods, positive classroom practices, and simple strategies that teachers could use immediately. FGES also shared materials and learning visuals to support classroom instruction and enrich the learning atmosphere.

At FGES, we believe teacher well-being should be supported every day—not just on World Teachers’ Day.

That’s why we include school leadership in our professional development programs.

We equip them with tools and strategies to actively support teacher well-being, and we invite them to join teacher training sessions to stay aligned with the new practices teachers are developing.

Because supporting teacher well-being isn’t about offering sweets in the staff room once a year. It’s about consistent, meaningful actions that make a difference throughout the school year.

What really matters?

✅ Structures that allow for sufficient planning time, both individually and in teams
✅ Opportunities for professional growth
✅ Constructive, ongoing feedback
✅ Space to introduce and implement new ideas
✅ A strong sense of belonging and shared purpose

Grateful for the opportunity to work with UNICEF Pakistan on developing teacher and student materials. Yesterday, we completed the training for master trainers, who will now support teachers in using these resources in their classrooms. These supplementary materials for the Balochistan Student Learning Improvement Programme (BSLIP) was developed in collaboration with UNICEF and AKU-IED. We’re glad to play a part in supporting teachers and learners.

Fresh from print! We’re thrilled to see our early years materials expanding into primary-level content in literacy, numeracy, and environmental studies — supporting continuity, consistency, and quality across children’s learning journeys, and bringing Finnish pedagogy to life internationally.

It’s inspiring to see our teacher and student materials already in use, and we’re excited to support more schools around the world.

Happy International Literacy day!

Reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge, and opportunity.
It helps us connect, understand, and grow — and every child deserves the joy of discovering stories and the power of words. At FGES, we believe in the power of play and in building confident readers step by step. For young learners, reading should be exciting, playful, and offer just the right amount of challenge.
That’s why our FGES literacy program brings together all the essential elements — including our adorable levelled readers!

These readers are thoughtfully designed to:

✨ Match each child’s reading level — never too easy, never too hard
✨ Spark curiosity and a love for reading
✨ Build confidence through moments of success
✨ Grow with the child — evolving as their reading skills develop

Our numeracy program takes off for the first time in Finland 🇫🇮
We’re thrilled to see how young learners at The English Kindergarten of Kuopio in Finland are exploring early numeracy through our engaging program!

Children aged 3–6 are diving into playful, hands-on activities that build foundational math skills in a joyful and meaningful way. From games about opposites to practising addition and subtraction through math stories and play. 💡🎲

What truly stands out is the dedication of the educator team at Kuopio. Their enthusiasm and commitment to using our materials. It’s inspiring to see how the educators are using our materials and nurturing a love for maths from the very beginning.

🌟 Setting a New Standard in Early Childhood Education in India! 🇮🇳

We’re proud to announce the launch of a transformative core curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) — aligned with India’s National Curriculum Framework (NCF), co-created with Indian education experts, inspired by the globally respected Finnish ECEC model, and carefully adapted for India’s rich and diverse contexts.

Creating this curriculum was no simple task. It was a collaborative process with local experts that required cultural sensitivity and contextualisation to meet the needs of children across India.
But development is only part of the story. The real work — and real impact — happens on the ground. As our pioneering partners at FGES have started implementing the curriculum in kindergartens across India, we continue to learn, adapt, and refine, ensuring that every child receives high-quality, contextually relevant early education.

This is more than a curriculum — it’s a movement to elevate early learning across India.

📍 Rooted in India. Inspired by the world.
🚀 Join us in shaping the future of education.

We are proud to announce our long-term affiliation school project with Radcliffe Group of Schools, focused on creating meaningful change through Finnish-inspired education.

This collaboration includes:

Comprehensive curriculum and learning materials for early years
Training for school leadership and all teachers
A pedagogy rooted in unity, resilience, and agency

Our shared vision is clear: to shift the focus from narrow outcomes to the learning process — one that values prior knowledge, embraces diverse methods and strategies, activates students, and nurtures every child not only for academic success, but for their unique strengths and skills.

We are especially inspired by Radcliffe’s leadership and teachers, whose enthusiasm and openness to change have made this journey already impactful.

This is just the beginning of a powerful learning process — one that will shape a positive and sustainable school culture for years to come.
