Cutting or stamping gives the blade its shape.

Drop-hammer forging changes the steel itself. Under repeated heavy blows, the heated steel becomes denser, tougher, and more refined. The grain structure tightens. The edge gains stability. The blade develops the strength to endure years of real outdoor use.

This is not decoration.
It is metallurgy.
