New publication helps organizations get full benefit from ISO 26000 for social responsibility Getting the most out of ISO 26000, the world’s first and most widely used International Standard for social responsibility, is the aim of a new guidance document just published.

Since its publication seven years ago, ISO 26000 has been adopted as a national standard in over 80 countries (and counting!) and its text is available in some 22 languages. It is also referenced in more than 3 000 academic papers, 50 books and numerous doctorates, and is used by organizations of all shapes and sizes including Petrobras, Air France, British Telecom, NEC, Novo Nordisk and Marks & Spencer, to name a few.

ISO 20400 - Kestäviä hankintoja käsittelevä standardi julkaistu

Kansainvälinen standardisoimisjärjestö ISO on julkaissut kestäviä hankintoja käsittelevän standardin ISO 20400:2017 Sustainable procurement – Guidance. Kyseessä on ensimmäinen kansainvälinen standardi kestävistä hankinnoista. Se liittyy läheisesti yhteiskuntavastuuta käsittelevään standardiin SFS-ISO 26000.
ISO 20400 provides an understanding of what is sustainable procurement, how sustainability impacts the different aspects of the procurement activity - policy, strategy, organisation, process – and how to implement sustainable procurement practically.

IWA26 workshop in London, 2-3 May

The IWA26 secretariat Tina/Sweden and Rosemary /Tanzania, chairman Staffan /Sweden and Eltekon´s Laila /Finland.
IWA26 is aimed at helping organizations apply ISO 26000 Guidance on Social Responsibility within a High Level Structured based management system. The document will be published during summer 2017.

17 April: Deadline for comments on Draft 3 IWA 26
24 April: The secretariat will collate the comments and give a preliminary approach to each comment by April 24
2-3 May: Workshop 2 in London (at BSI)
