THE ROBBO GRADUAL EDUCATIONAL APPROACH: STEP-BY-STEP LEARNING
The ROBBO educational framework offers a structured, engaging pathway for children to explore robotics and technology through a gradual approach. Here’s how it works:
1. PLAY
Children start by discovering the basics of robotics in a fun and entertaining way through games and interactive software.
2. LEARN
Next, they dive into the fundamentals of coding, robotics, circuitry, 3D modeling, and 3D printing, building a solid foundation for future projects.
3. CREATE
With their newfound knowledge, kids can develop electronic circuits, create expansion boards, and build various types of robots—wheeled, tracked, walking, and beam robots. They can also design smart homes using IoT and develop games with Unity.
4. INVENT
As their skills grow, children can envision their own projects and understand how to bring them to life. They are encouraged to participate in scientific and technical competitions, fostering creativity and innovation.
5. START OWN BUSINESS
Equipped with entrepreneurial skills, kids learn to assess project effectiveness, assemble a team, and launch their own startups.
6. EXPAND A BUSINESS
Finally, they gain the ability to attract funding to scale their businesses, find international partners, and initiate export operations.
Through this comprehensive approach, ROBBO empowers children to explore their interests in technology while developing essential skills for the future.
ROBBO is created by an international team of professionals and creative people from Finland, Japan and China.

ROBBO Hosts Thai Colleagues for Collaborative Meetings and Tours
Recently, ROBBO had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of colleagues from Thailand. The visit was marked by a series of engaging meetings and tours aimed at fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge.
The first leg of the visit took place at Aalto University, where the Thai delegation was treated to a comprehensive tour of the campus and had the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge robotics lab. This introduction to the European university facilities left the visitors from Thailand thoroughly impressed.
Following this, the group convened at the ROBBO office for a productive meeting. The session included an insightful presentation showcasing ROBBO's innovative products and their unique educational approach. The Thai colleagues were evidently enthusiastic about the offerings presented to them during their visit.
This visit marks the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful and enduring collaboration between ROBBO and our esteemed colleagues from Thailand. The enthusiasm displayed by the visitors, coupled with our strong belief in the potential for future cooperation, sets an optimistic tone for the relationship between our organizations.
The exchange of ideas and experiences during this visit has laid a solid foundation for mutual learning and growth. We look forward to nurturing this newly formed connection and working together to achieve great things in the future.

10 LIFEHACKS OF RECRUITING TEACHERS FROM ROBBO (PART 2)
5. PREPARING A TRIAL LESSON
In case you have doubts about the teacher’s qualification, suggest they prepare a trial lesson for new students. Input the lesson target duration, topic, purpose and objectives. Have the teacher lead the lesson for you and other teachers first, give your comments and recommendations on how to improve it. Then attend the actual lesson with the potential customers, see how the teacher behaves around children.
6. SUPERVISE STUDENTS' RESULTS
Even though there are no strict tests or exams in after-school classes as usual, still knowledge control is extremely important. Either the business owner or the students’ parents need to be sure the children get new skills and improve their level.
ROBBO organizes a festive lesson after each topic study for this purpose. We sum up the results, give a light testing (up to 10 tasks), have children exchange ROBBO coins or ROBBO stickers for presents. The festive lesson is always a positive event: children do not get any marks, only ROBBO methodologists can see their actual results. In case they are low, the business owner and a teacher get informed of that, so they can find out a way of solving the issue.
7. COMPETITIONS FOR STUDENTS
Nothing can motivate better than achieving results and winning competitions.
ROBBO holds at least two events every year. These are the International Scratch Olympiad of creative programming and the ROBBO FEST of engineering projects. A teacher acts as a mentor helping students prepare projects for the contest. As they win, there is a great celebration organized in a ROBBO club, honoring the students and their teachers. Therefore, it is a perfect motivation for either of them to stay within the after-school center to reach new heights in future.
8. MOTIVATION
Even though the teacher is sought to be a vocation rather than profession, still the teacher’s work is the nuts and bolts of modern society and therefore must be paid really well. Obviously, any business aims to increase the motivating aspect of salary. Apart from sales positions, for instance, it seems not that easy to find the proper motivation scheme that would drive teachers to do their best and not ruin the business plan.
ROBBO experience in China is an example. We provide a number of bonuses, such as the overwork perk, a bonus for doing trial lessons or even for the students’ 100% attendance within a month, so as to motivate teachers to perform well, and even better.
9. COMMUNITY AND TEAMBUIDLING
Any employee works way better if they are an integral part of a group. It is crucial to create a positive atmosphere and sense of common involvement. The best way to unite them is to make events together or have them gathered in a virtual space.
ROBBO has created a special teachers’ community chat where they share experience, help preparing for lessons, discuss novations or simply support each other.
10. RATING AND AWARDING
If an after-school center encounters a considerable number of teachers, then the Board of Honor can be another source of motivation. Indeed, the Month’s Best Teacher means a cherished role model for admiring and aspiring to be alike. They receive a monthly bonus and compete for the Year’s Best Teacher to award at the New Year celebration. And of course, they are placed at the Honor Board accordingly.
To make the game rules clear for everybody, there should be standards of work. The better a teacher corresponds to these standards, the higher rating they get. And the more chances to get to the Honor Board, for sure. Some may think the work principles are obvious and there is no necessity to document them. However, as psychologists say, what is unnamed, does not exist.

10 LIFEHACKS OF RECRUITING TEACHERS FROM ROBBO (PART 1)
1. CREATIVE SEARCH
The first question ever is where to find candidates. Believe there should be some headhunter companies or bulletin boards in your region. Post a vacancy there. Attach a short test. Even answering 2–3 basic questions can give the first portrait of a candidate and clarify their interest. Pay your attention also to the tutor search websites. IT, physics, math, science, coding or STEM tutors are your best choice there.
Visit technical universities in your town, place an ad there for graduate/postgraduate students that can join your educational center as part-time or full-time teachers.
2. MORE THAN ONE INTERVIEW
This is not a common practice in recruitment but it is still quite effective. Make at least two interviews. A generic one and a professional one.
In ROBBO, the first interview is conducted by an after-school center’s manager who asks questions about the life situation, personal information, interests and plans for the future. Then, a curriculum expert discusses technical issues to make sure the candidate has the necessary mindset for dealing with technologies and teaching them.
3. QUALITY CURRICULUM
Make sure your curriculum includes lesson plans and it is completed in a detailed way. In this case you are less dependent on teachers. Once they leave, you can simply find a substitute that would follow the curriculum you provide.
Otherwise, imagine your teacher has all the substantial knowledge for education. Whose business is it then? 🙂
ROBBO curriculum provides opportunities of education for up to seven years. It has been developed by experienced methodologists, gone through numerous approbations, constantly being upgraded to reach the ultimate result. Having its lesson plans, even a teacher with little knowledge of robotics can do classes well.
4. TRAINING FOR TEACHERS
Subsequently, if you have a curriculum and/or special equipment for education, a teacher should get acquainted with it before they start working. Even if a teacher has some experience, certificates or diplomas, they are not familiar with your standards and rules.
ROBBO has developed a special online course for teachers. It includes equipment tutorials, methodological tips and clues. It takes about a week to take this course, pass a test and make a final project. Only once certified, they can start teaching in ROBBO.
.. to be continued!
