👋 A mighty but Simple MoovKids Activity for you to try in the daycare or home.
🏃♂️➡️ 🏃♀️➡️Kids love to be chased, whether it be by a parent, friend or teacher. This is a perfect way to let off some steam and to get the kids running in a fun way!
🐭 Activity Title - Catch the Mouse's Tail
🤔Requirements: A big space, ropes, scarves or a crafted tail.
🌳 Environment: A big hall, an open outdoor area or a movement room.
Instructions:
👭 Place the children mindfully in pairs
🐭 Tuck the tail in the clothing at the back.
🏃♀️➡️ Explain that one child has to chase the other to try and catch their tail.
🦶 This can be done by stamping on it with the foot if it is a rope, or by catching it with the hand if it is a scarf or hand-made tail.
🔄 If the space is not VERY big, have the children run in the same direction .
🐭 The children can swap roles if the tail is caught, but also do a changeover when you feel the children are tiring.
🤩 Benefits:
- The children develop stamina by running around and getting out of breath.
- They learn spatial awareness by avoiding bumping into each other.
- They develop an understanding of timing and distance, knowing exactly when to grab or stand on the tail.
- They learn avoidance skills by moving this way and that to avoid having their tail taken removed.
🥰 Best Take Away:
The children laugh none stop during the activity, but best of all, they learn an awful lot by having a great deal of fun!
Give it a try, I know your child or children will love it! 💗

Just had a wonderful birthday party here at MoovKids, and this great circuit will be used again for tomorrow’s gym classes. Little do the children know just how much learning takes place as they navigate, play, and explore moving in a variety of ways. I love what I do! ❤️

👋 I want to share with you how simple but effective teaching methods allow for more repetition and turn-taking. The more opportunities a child has to practice and become familiar with an activity, the more chances they have of becoming a confident, competent mover and learner. 🤩
