Lapset saivat laulavat linnut lahjaksi viimeisellä viikollaan Onnimannissa. Jokainen lapsi sai linnun, joka kuvastaa heidän omaa persoonallisuuttaan. Toivotamme kaikille oikein hyvää jatkoa ja onnea uusiin tuuliin!

Children got these singing birds as a present on their final week in Onnimanni. Each child got a bird that represents their own personality. Wishing you all the very best for the future, good luck and good bye.

Aina ei tarvita valmiita leluja, luonnossa olo ruokkii mielikuvitusta löytämään välineet hauskaan leikkiin. Tässä nuotion loimussa valmistuu vaahtokarkki herkuttelijoille. 🔥

One doesn't always need toys for a good play. In nature, one can find tools for a fun play by using imagination. Here we're roasting a marshmallow over a campfire for your sweet tooth.🔥

"Every day he has enjoyed himself, been exercised physically and mentally and he’s enjoyed it being in English and Finnish so he’s been able to learn some new Finnish words. He was originally reluctant to go, but today he said he was sad it was the last day." - testimonial from one of the parents from our summer nature camp.

Olemme pystyttäneet teltan Kamukodin pihalle. Lapset pääsevät tutustumaan retkeilyn tunnelmaan, majaleikkiin ja hauskaan piilopaikkaan. Teltalla on kuitenkin myös paikkansa ruokakasvatuksessa; olemme käyneet eväsretkillä teltassa, joka viikko olemme tutustuneet uuteen kotimaiseen juurekseen! Tällä viikolla saimme maistella kyssäkaalia, tätä maistuvaa kotimaista juuresta lapset rouskuttelivat innokkaana namps!🥰

We have set up a tent on the yard where it gives children a feel of how camping is like. It's a great hideout, a place to play and where the children have their snack breaks! In the tent, we have been getting to know different vegetables of the season. This week the children got to taste kohlrabi (finn: kyssäkaali), it's crunchy and tasty and they loved it!🥰

Some of the other kids at the daycare have been diving into conversations and sessions regarding kindness and friendliness, also what it means to be kind to ourselves. We painted hearts and later each child got to add their own positive affirmation - about themselves of course.💖

🐻Tunne-nalle. Kuvien, lelujen ja yhteisten esimerkkien kautta me opettelemme tunnistamaan ja nimemään tunteita. Miltä sinusta tänään tuntuu?

🐻Emotion bear. It's a great way to learn about feelings. Together we learn to name different feelings trough pictures, toys and examples. How do you feel today?

Sateen tuomat vesileikit ovat hauskoja ja opettavat uusia tärkeitä taitoja! 💦
Märällä pensselillä seinään maalailu on taianomaista, kun märkä jälki kuivaakin seinästä nopeasti.Märkiin kumppareihin jäänyt hiekka täytyy saada rappurallissa pois, ennen sisälle menoa, se harjoittaa motorisia taitoja sekä kärsivällisyyttä. Ja sadevedestä saa myös tehtyä maanmainioimmat sopat!

This week the rain has brought us fun new things to do and learn! 💦
Painting the wall with a wet brush is magical when the water disappears right away. Cleaning those muddy rainboots is a good practice for motor skills and patience too. Also, the rainwater makes the best soup.

🌿Kamussa luonnonmateriaalit ovat mukana lasten leikeissä, niiden kautta on helppo tutustua ympäristöön ja luonnon erilaisiin ihmeisiin. Kokkausleikit ovat klassikko, jonka kautta lapset oppivat vuoronvaikutustaitoja, sanavarasto kehittyy sekä ymmärrys ruoasta lisääntyy. Nam!

🌿At Kamu, we use materials found in nature in children's play. It's a natural way to learn about the nature and its miracles. Cooking play is a classic way to learn about interaction skills and increase vocabulary and knowledge about food. Yum!
