Our group spent time working on a color laboratory project. We explored the reactions between baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, lemon and primary colors on large watercolor paper.
Along the way, we studied color theory: specifically seeing what happens when yellow and blue dots meet. The children used pipettes and practiced high precision. We also imagined ourselves working in a laboratory, learning that while experiments do not always succeed, the process itself is important part of research.
