"This volunteering experience was very important for me. I will keep many good memories from these two and a half months in Finland.
I enjoyed working with children and being part of the activities at the youth centre.
But what I liked the most was taking part in many different activities. I enjoyed outdoor manual work, like building fences, but also working with children and teenagers. We did many activities together such as cycling, climbing, canoeing, and orienteering.
I will remember the moments shared with the team, the young people, and all the new experiences I had here. This project helped me become more independent, open-minded, and confident." ~Lilian
"I really love Finnish culture! I fell in love with the saunas and the peaceful nature, especially the forests and lakes. I also met so many wonderful people here. At first, I was surprised by how early people eat, but now I’m completely used to having lunch at 11 am!
I will never forget the saunas, the KooKoo matches in Kouvola, and all the amazing people I've met. It has been an incredible experience. Next up: spending 5 days in Rovaniemi before heading back home. Kiitos! 🇫🇮✨" ~Etienne
