በወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በ2018 ትምህርት ዘመን የአንደኛ ዓመት ትምህርታቸውን ያጠናቀቁና በዘንድሮው የትምህርት ዘመን የሁለተኛ ዓመት ትምህርታቸውን ለመቀጠል ብቁ ለሆኑ ተማሪዎች፣ በዩኒቨርሲቲው ስለሚሰጡ የትምህርት ክፍሎች ገለፃ ተደርጎላቸዋል።

በመርሐ ግብሩ ላይ የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን ሪጅስትራር ጽሕፈት ቤት ኃላፊ ዶክተር ዮናታን ሙሉሸዋ የመክፈቻ ንግግር አድርገዋል።

ዶ/ር ዮናታን በመክፈቻ ንግግራቸው፤ ገለፃው ተማሪዎች የአንደኛ ዓመት ትምህርታቸውን አጠናቀው ወደ ሁለተኛ ዓመት በሚሸጋገሩበት ወቅት ስለሚኖረው የትምህርት የአመራረጥ ሒደት በቂ ግንዛቤ እንዲጨብጡ ለማድረግ ታስቦ የተዘጋጀ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።

በመድረኩ በሁሉም ኮሌጆች ስለሚገኙ የትምህርት ክፍሎች፣ ስለ ምደባ መስፈርቶችና ስለ አጠቃላይ የመማር-ማስተማር ሒደቱ ሰፊ ማብራሪያ ተሰጥቷል።

📍Orientation Provided for Students Transitioning from First to Second Year at Wolkite University

An orientation session regarding available academic departments was conducted for students who completed their first-year studies in the 2025/26 academic year and qualified to pursue their second-year education at Wolkite University.

Dr. Yonatan Mulushewa, Head of the University Registrar's Office, delivered the opening remarks at the event.

In his opening speech, Dr. Yonatan stated that the orientation was organized to ensure students gain a clear understanding of the department selection process as they transition from their first to second year of study.

During the program, comprehensive explanations were provided regarding the academic departments across all colleges, placement criteria, and the overall teaching-learning process.

The event was attended by numerous stakeholders, including College Deans, Department Heads, and other Academic affairs higher officials.

ከ2015 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ወደ መደበኛ የሥራ እንቅስቃሴ የገባው የዋቤ ንግድና ማማከር ሥራዎች ኢንተርፕራይዝ፣ የሥራ ሂደቱ በአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ኃብቴ ዱላ እና በአካዳሚክ ጉዳዮች ልዩ ረዳት መምህር መለስ እጥፉ ተጎበኘ።

በጉብኝቱ ወቅት የኢንተርፕራይዙ ሥራ አስኪያጅ ዶ/ር ትምህርቱ ሳህል ስለ ተቋሙ አጠቃላይ የሥራ እንቅስቃሴዎች ገለጻ አድርገዋል።

የዋቤ ንግድና ማማከር ሥራዎች ኢንተርፕራይዝ ትኩረት ካደረገባቸው ዋና ዋና ዘርፎች መካከል የግብርናው ዘርፍ ይጠቀሳል። በዚህም መሠረት ከዚህ ቀደም ሲያመርታቸው ከነበሩት በተጨማሪ፣በአሁኑ ወቅት በርበሬ፣ ሽንኩርት እና ኑግ በማምረት ላይ ይገኛል።

በተጨማሪም ኢንተርፕራይዙ ከዚህ ቀደም ታርሶ የማያውቅ 15 ሄክታር መሬት በማረስ አልምቶምርት ለመሰብሰብ በመጠባበቅ ላይ እንደሚገኝ ዶ/ር ትምህርቱ ገልጸዋል።

ኢንተርፕራይዙ የተቋቋመበት ዋና ዓላማ ወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲን ወደ ራስ-ገዝነት ለሚደረገው ሽግግር የሚያግዝና አቅም ለመፍጠር መሆኑ ይታወቃል።

📍Wabe Trade and Consulting Services Enterprise Operations Inspected by Wolkite University Leadership

The operational activities of Wabe Trade and Consulting Services Enterprise, which commenced regular operations in 2023/24, were inspected by Dr. Habte Dulla, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Instrutor Meles Etfu, Special Assistant for Academic Affairs.

During the visit, the General Manager of the enterprise, Dr. Timihirtu Sahel, delivered a comprehensive overview of the institution's ongoing activities.

Agricultural development remains one of the primary focal areas for Wabe Trade and Consulting Services Enterprise. In addition to its previous production endeavors, the enterprise is currently cultivating Chili peppers, Onions, and Niger seeds.

Furthermore, Dr. Timihirtu highlighted that the enterprise has cleared and cultivated 15 hectares of previously unfarmed land, which is currently awaiting harvest.

The Enterprise was primarily established to generate capacity and support Wolkite University's transition toward institutional autonomy.

ወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ከማዕከላዊ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል ትምህርትቢሮ እና ከትምህርት ልማት ከተባለ መንግሥታዊ ካልሆነ ድርጅት ጋር በመተባበር፣ በአካባቢው ለሚገኙ 2ኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤቶች የተመረጡ መምህራን የሙያ ማሻሻያ ስልጠና መስጠት ጀምሯል።

በመርሐ ግብሩ መክፈቻ ላይ የወልቂጤ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ዮሐንስ ገብሩ እንደተናገሩት፣ በሀገራችን የትምህርት ጥራት ለማረጋገጥ ዘርፈ ብዙ ሥራዎች እየተከናወኑ ይገኛሉ።በዚህ ረገድ ዩኒቨርሲቲያችንም የተለያዩ ተግባራትን እያከናወነእንደሚገኝ ጠቅሰዋል።

በተጨማሪም የማዕከላዊ ኢትዮጵያ ክልል ትምህርት ቢሮ ምክትል ኃላፊ እና የትምህርት ልማት ዘርፍ ኃላፊ አቶ አስከብር ወልዴ እንደገለጹት፣ የተማሪዎችን ውጤት ለማሻሻል የመምህራን ብቃት ማሳደግ ከሁሉ በላይ ቅድሚያ የሚሰጠው ጉዳይ ነው። በመሆኑም ስልጠናው የትምህራትን ጥራት በማስጠበቅ ረገድ ተጨባጭ ለውጥ እንደሚያመጣ ጠቅሰፈው፣ ሰልጣኞች ስልጠናውን በአግባቡ እንዲከታተሉ አሳስበዋል።

በዚህ ለተከታታይ 4 ቀናት በሚቆየው ስልጠና ላይ ትኩረት ተደርጎባቸው የሚሰጡ ዋና ዋና ርዕሶች፦
ብቃት ተኮር ትምህርት አሰጣጥ ዘዴዎች፤የትምህርት እቅድ ዝግጅትና አተገባበር፤የቀጣይ ሙያዊ እድገት (CPD) አጠቃቀም እናየመምህራን የማስተማሪያ ክህሎት ማሳደግላይ አተኩሯል።
የተማሪዎችን ውጤት ለማሻሻልና አጠቃላይ የትምህርት ጥራትን ለማሳደግ የመምህራንን እውቀት፣ ክህሎትና ብቃት ከፍ ማድረግ የስልጠናው ዋና ዓላማ መሆኑንተገልጸዋል።

ሥልጠናው ከዛሬ ጀምሮ ለ4 ተከታታይ ቀናት የሚቆይ ሲሆን፣ ከ24 ትምህርት ቤቶች የተውጣጡ መምህራን በመሳተፍ ላይ ይገኛሉ።

📍Enhancing Teachers' Skills and Competencies Crucial for Ensuring Educational Quality

Wolkite University, in collaboration with the Central Ethiopia Region Education Bureau and Education Development Trust (EDT), a non-governmental organization, has commenced a professional development training program for selected secondary school teachers in the catchment area.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Yohannes Gebru, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at Wolkite University, stated that multifaceted efforts are underway to ensure educational quality in our country, noting that the university is actively implementing various initiatives in this regard.

Furthermore, Mr. Askebir Wolde, Deputy Head of the Central Ethiopia Region Education Bureau and Head of the Education Development Sector, emphasized that enhancing teachers' competence is the top priority for improving student academic performance. He noted that the training will bring about tangible changes in maintaining educational quality and urged the trainees to follow the sessions diligently.

Running for four consecutive days starting today, the training program focuses on four core areas: Competency-Based Teaching Methods, lesson Planning and Implementation, continuous Professional Development (CPD) Utilization, and enhancement of Pedagogical and Teaching Skills.

The initiative aims to elevate teachers' knowledge, skills, and competencies to improve student academic achievement and overall educational quality. Teachers drawn from 24 secondary schools are participating in the program.

Attendees of the opening ceremony included Mr. Askebir Wolde (Deputy Head of the Regional Education Bureau), Dr. Yohannes Gebru (Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer), Mr. Mebrate Wolde Mariam (Head of the Gurage Zone Education Department), Mr. Chernet Zerga (Director of Community Services) as well as EDT expert trainers and coordinators.

📍Wolkite University Holds Discussion with Stakeholders Regarding the 6th Edition of the "Care-Awod" Run in Collaboration with "Care-Awod Ethiopia"

Wolkite University has held a comprehensive discussion with relevant stakeholders regarding the upcoming 6th round of the "Care-Awod" Run, organized in collaboration with "Care-Awod Ethiopia".

Dr. Yohannes Gebru, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer at Wolkite University, delivered the welcoming remarks and officially inaugurated the consultation forum.

During the session, participants evaluated the strengths of previous competition years and addressed areas that require improvement, holding extensive discussions on how to successfully execute the upcoming race.

Notable attendees at the forum included Athlete Tesema Abshiro, Founder and President of Care-Awod Ethiopia, and Mr. Denbel Desie, Founder and Executive Director of Care-Awod Ethiopia, alongside various university department heads and officials.

It is worth noting that the race is scheduled to take place on September 17, 2026.

ዩኒቨርሲቲው ዝቅተኛ ገቢ ያላቸውን ቤተሰቦች ትኩረት በማድረግ በተለይም የሴቶችና የወጣቶችን የምግብ ደህንነት ለማጠናከር እና ምርታማነትን ለመጨመር እየሰራ ይገኛል።

በዚህም ለአነስተኛ ገቢ ባለቤቶች የተለያዩ የአትክልት ዘሮችን እና የዶሮ ዝርያዎችን የማቅረብ ተግባር እያከናወነ ነው።

የፕሮጀክቱ አስተባባሪ መምህር ችግኝ አዳሙ እንደገለፁት፤ የአትክልትና የዶሮ ምርትን ማዋሃድ የቤተሰብ አመጋገብንና የምግብ ደህንነትን ከማሻሻሉም በላይ ተጨማሪ ገቢ ለማመንጨት ከፍተኛ አቅም ያለው ተግባር ነው፡፤

ፕሮጀክቱ በከተማዋ የሚገኙ አነስተኛ ገቢ ያላቸው የህብረተሰብ ክፍሎችን በኢኮኖሚ በመደገፍ የልማቱ ተጠቃሚ ማድረግን ዓላማ ያደረገ እንደሆነም ተመላክቷል።
