🎓🎉 We are delighted to congratulate one of Liqa Initiative's co-founders, Workneh Fola Jano, on his graduation from Harvard University with a major in Computer Science and Statistics! Workneh's commitment to academic excellence has paid off, and we are thrilled to share that he will soon embark on a new adventure as a quantitative analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York this July. His dedication, expertise, and passion make him an invaluable asset to Liqa Initiative, Wolayta and the industry as a whole. Lika Initiative is an initiative founded to facilitate the educational experience at the intersection of technology, academics, and community service. It is run by a group of volunteers and dreamers working to improve education and technology at Lika and across Wolaita. Its primary focus is to help Lika students and Wolaita as a whole to join the ever-changing technological and educational leap that the world is going through. Mainly, we will be working to supplement great educational movement that Wolaita Development Association has been carrying out over the past decade.

We have several programs aiming to help students from Lika and across Wolaita to get access to various academic and scholarly resources, international scholarships opportunities and computer science and tech courses.

Membership
Although we focus on Wolaita Lika Alumni, anyone who wills to contribute to the betterment of Wolaita can Join!
