China has announced(宣布) that the launch(发射) of the Shenzhou-11 manned spacecraft(飞船) was a success(成功). A Long March-2F carrier rocket(火箭), loaded with the Shenzhou-11 manned spacecraft, blasted off at 7:30 a.m. BJT on October 17 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. Astronauts(宇航员) Jing Haipeng and Chen D**g are due to enter(进入) the Tiangong-2 spacelab(太空实验室) on Wednesday, and will spend(度过) a total of 33 days in space(太空), the longest-ever Chinese manned spaceflight mission(任务). 30 days will be spent on the space lab where they will be conducting 14 scientific experiments(实验). The remaining(剩下的) 3 days will be used for flights outside the lab.
"Being an astronaut is my career. Space exploration is my job, as well as my pursuit. It is challenging, risky, even dangerous. But honestly speaking, this is what I love, this is what I enjoy! " Jing Haipeng said to the media.
