Selale University is found at the town of Fiche in Oromia region of Northern Ethiopia , at a distance of 112 Kilometers from Addis Ababa/Finfinne. Salale Campus has been established before four years under Addis Ababa University and had issued its revised Senate Legislation in 2013 to achieve what the organization set as a vision in the campus. Additionally the dire

የሰላሌ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የአትሌቲክስ ክለብ አትሌቶች በአሜሪካ (ኦሪገን ግዛት፣ ዩጂን ከተማ) ታሪካዊ በሆነው ሄይዋርድ ፊልድ ስታዲየም በተካሄደው ከ20 ዓመት በታች የዓለም አትሌቲክስ ሻምፒዮና ላይ ተሳትፈው በታላቅ ስኬት ወደ ሀገራቸው ተመልሰዋል።

አትሌቶቻችን በከፍተኛ የሀገር ፍቅር እና ቁርጠኝነት፣ እንዲሁም በጥሩ የሞራል እና አርአያነት ባለው ስነ-ምግባር በውድድሩ ላይ የተሳተፉ ሲሆን፣ የሚከተለውን አኩሪ ውጤት አስመዝግበዋል፡-

🥉 አትሌት ዳምጠው ከበደ፡ በ5,000 ሜትር ሩጫ 3ኛ በመውጣት ለሀገራችን እና ለዩኒቨርሲቲያችን የነሐስ ሜዳሊያ አሸንፏል።
🏅 አትሌት ደራርቱ ሽብሩ፡ በ800 ሜትር ሩጫ 7ኛ በመውጣት የዲፕሎማ ደረጃን አግኝታለች።

አትሌቶቻችን ላስመዘገቡት አኩሪ ውጤት የኢትዮጵያ አትሌቲክስ ፌዴሬሽን እውቅና እና ሽልማት የሰጣቸው ሲሆን፤ ሰላሌ ዩኒቨርሲቲን ወክለው ኢንስትራክተር ኃይሉ ሙለታ በአቀባበል ስነ-ስርዓቱ ላይ ተገኝተዋል።

ይህንን ስኬት አስመልክቶ የሰላሌ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ፈዬራ ድንሳ፣ የአካዳሚክ እና ምርምር ጉዳዮች ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ፀጋዬ ደዩ እና የሰላሌ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አትሌቲክስ ቡድን መሪ ኢንስትራክተር ኃይሉ ሙለታ፤ አትሌቶቻችንን እና አብረዋቸው የተጓዙትን አሰልጣኝ ኢንስትራክተር መሰረት መንግስቱን "እንኳን ደስ አላችሁ" በማለት ደስታቸውን ገልጸዋል። በቀጣይም አትሌቶቻችን ጠንክረው እንዲቀጥሉ መልእክት በማስተላለፍ፣ አስፈላጊውን ድጋፍ ሁሉ ለማድረግ ዝግጁ መሆናቸውን አስታውቀዋል።

Following a comprehensive evaluation meeting, the Salale University Board has officially approved the institution's 2018 E.C. Annual Performance Report and the 2019 E.C. Annual Plan.

During the meeting, the University presented its 2018 E.C. Annual Performance Report, highlighting major achievements, institutional progress, project implementation progress, and key milestones attained during the fiscal year across its core mandates of teaching and learning, research, community engagement, and institutional development.

The University also presented its proposed 2019 E.C. Annual Plan, which outlines strategic priorities, performance targets, and implementation measures designed to build on these achievements, accelerate ongoing projects, strengthen institutional performance, and advance the University's mission, vision, and long-term development objectives.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Makuria Haile, Chairperson of the Salale University Board, and Prof. Nigussie Dechassa, Deputy Chairperson of the Board. Board members actively participated in the evaluation, provided constructive recommendations, and unanimously approved the University's 2018 E.C. Annual Performance Report and 2019 E.C. Annual Plan.

Board members commended the University for the considerable achievements and significant progress recorded during the 2018 E.C. fiscal year. The Board further urged the University to sustain and accelerate this momentum in the 2019 E.C. fiscal year by striving for even greater achievements through the effective implementation of its strategic priorities and continued commitment to excellence.

Salale University Provides Orientation for Newly Joined STEM Center Students

Salale University has conducted an orientation program for students from various schools who have joined the University's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Center as part of its commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among young learners.

As part of this year's summer program, talented students from schools across North Shewa Zone have enrolled in the Center to receive specialized STEM training aimed at enhancing their creativity, innovation, and practical skills. The Center continues to implement initiatives that strengthen students' innovative capacity and support the development of future scientists, engineers, and innovators.

During the orientation, Mr. Tolosa Tulu, Coordinator of the Salale University STEM Center, explained that the Center identifies and recruits students with outstanding creative potential from schools across North Shewa Zone and provides them with STEM education and hands-on training. He noted that many participants have gone on to achieve remarkable success in national-level competitions, reflecting the effectiveness of the University's efforts to nurture young talent.

The orientation program was led by Dr. Girma Megersa, Director of the Community Service and Technology Transfer Directorate, together with Mr. Gezahegn Faye, Special Assistant to the Vice President for Academic and Research. Salale University and the Derartu Tulu Sports Training and Research Institute (DTSTRI) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at advancing sport science, athlete development, healthcare and pharmacy services, research, and institutional capacity building.

The agreement provides a framework for collaboration in sport science education and research, athlete development, interdisciplinary cooperation, professional training, and knowledge exchange, with the shared goal of promoting innovation, academic excellence, and national development.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Feyera Dinsa, President of Salale University, and Mr. Jifara Disasa, Executive Director of the Derartu Tulu Sports Training and Research Institute. In their remarks, both leaders emphasized that the agreement strengthens university–industry collaboration and provides a strong foundation for advancing national growth and development.

The signing ceremony was attended by the senior leadership of both institutions. Representing Salale University were Dr. Tsegaye Deyou, Vice President for Academic and Research, and Dr. Miesso Bayu, Chief Executive Director of Salale University's College of Medical and Health Sciences. They underscored the importance of effectively implementing the agreement to achieve its intended objectives and deliver meaningful outcomes.

The event was also attended by Mr. Desalegn Tilahun, Deputy Head of the Oromia Youth and Sports Bureau, who reaffirmed the Bureau's commitment to supporting the implementation of the MoU and collaborating with both institutions on the partnership's joint initiatives.

Following the signing ceremony, participants planted tree seedlings within the compound of the Derartu Tulu Sports Training and Research Institute in support of the Ethiopian Government's Green Legacy Initiative and its nationwide campaign to plant 800 million seedlings in a single day.

ለእነዚህ አትሌቶች ለረጅም ጊዜ የአካል ብቃት ዝግጅት፣ የአትሌቲክስ ልምምድ እና የስነ-ልቦና ዝግጅት በአሰልጣኞች ሲሰጣቸው የቆየ ሲሆን፣ ስፖርተኞቹም አስፈላጊውን ዝግጅት ሁሉ ማጠናቀቃቸውን ገልጸዋል። በተጨማሪም፣ እነዚህ አትሌቶች የአሜሪካ ቪዛ ያገኙ ሲሆን፣ ከጥቂት ቀናት በኋላም ወደ ሀገሪቱ ጉዟቸውን ይጀምራሉ።

በአጠቃላይ ዩኒቨርሲቲው በሀገር አቀፍ ደረጃ ግንባር ቀደም በመሆን አራት አትሌቶችን የሚያሳትፍ ሲሆን፣ ከአንድ ክለብ ውስጥ በአንድ ጊዜ አራት አትሌቶችን ማሳተፉ ደግሞ በሀገር ደረጃ ቀዳሚ ያደርገዋል።

በውድድሩ ላይ የሚሳተፉት አትሌቶች፡-
1) አትሌት ዳምጠው ከበደ
2) አትሌት ደስታው ታደ
3) አትሌት ደራርቱ ሽብሩ እና
4) አትሌት ነፃነት ሰለሞን ናቸው።
እንዲሁም፣ አሰልጣኛቸው ኢንስትራክተር መሰረት መንግስቱ ቡድኑን በመምራት ወደ ውድድሩ ስፍራ ያቀናሉ።

Salale University Conducts Capacity-Building Training for Council Members on Institutional Reform

Salale University successfully conducted a capacity-building training for its University Council members on Institutional Reform Agendas, Results-Oriented Planning, and Employee Performance Evaluation.

The training was organized by the University's Office of Institutional Reform, Office of Strategic Affairs, and Office of Performance and Human Resources Administration to strengthen the Council's capacity in institutional governance, strategic leadership, and performance management.

During the opening, Dr. Feyera Dinsa, President of Salale University, underscored the critical role of institutional reform and results-oriented leadership in fostering good governance, increasing accountability, and boosting institutional performance. He stressed that achieving the University's strategic objectives hinges on committed leadership, evidence-based planning, and an effective performance management system.

Experts from the Federal Civil Service Commission, Dr. Tariku Degefa, Mr. Desalegn Dingeta, and Mr. Abel Admasu, presented on institutional reform, results-oriented planning, and employee performance evaluation. Mr. Tibebu Tadesse, Executive of Strategic Affairs at Salale University, also presented the University's KPI Planning Framework, highlighting its role in strategic planning and institutional accountability.

Council members actively engaged in the sessions, posing insightful questions, sharing their experiences, and offering recommendations on institutional governance, strategic planning, and performance management.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Tsegaye Deyou, Vice President for Academic and Research, encouraged Council members to utilize their new knowledge and skills to advance ongoing institutional reform initiatives and drive the University toward greater performance and excellence.
