Congratulations to Dr. Yimenu Adimass Belay!

We give thanks to God, who has faithfully guided him through this journey.
Dr. Yimenu has successfully defended his PhD dissertation, situated within New Testament and Christian Origins. His research examines Paul’s view of the Law in Romans, engaging in dialogue between modern exegetical traditions and the Ethiopic interpretive tradition. The study analyzes how modern exegetical approaches understand Paul’s view of the Law, while also exploring how the Ethiopic tradition—through its scriptural reception and theological heritage—interprets the Law, particularly through the categories of Həgga Lǝbuna, Həgga Oritə, and Həgga Wanəgēlə.

By bringing these three-pronged interpretive approaches into conversation with modern exegetical traditions, the dissertation demonstrates how the Ethiopic tradition offers fresh insights that both enrich and challenge contemporary readings of Paul.

Big News from MK Seminary!
On May 16, 2026, Meserete Kristos Seminary celebrated the graduation of 38 students at its Bishoftu campus—marking a powerful step in global Christian leadership.

This milestone comes right after the seminary’s accreditation by ACTEA and the graduation of 100 Master’s students in November 2025. Among the graduates, 17 are pioneers—the first ever to complete the Mission & Intercultural Studies program, equipping them to serve across cultures and nations.

The ceremony was filled with worship, inspiring words, and a challenge to “keep our eyes on Jesus” even in life’s storms (Matthew 14:22–32).

With over 1,300 students currently enrolled and plans underway for a new five-story multipurpose building, Meserete Kristos Seminary is shaping the future of ministry and mission in Africa—and beyond.

Just days before, the seminary trained 166 missionaries and evangelists from across Ethiopia, fueling the church’s “Agenda 2819” gospel mission.

This is not just about one seminary—it’s a reminder of how faith-driven education is transforming lives and communities worldwide.

Celebration at Meserete Kristos Seminary!
Today we proudly graduated 166 missionaries, evangelists, and outreach volunteers who completed a four-week Missiological Training Program.
Trained by experienced field experts, these leaders are now equipped to engage Ethiopia’s unreached populations with courage and compassion.
This milestone reflects our Seminary’s unwavering commitment to equipping leaders for transformative service.

መሰረተ ክርስቶስ ሴሚናሪ አስመረቀ!
