🌍 Afternoon Session - Day 5 Switzerland Cultural Exchange 🇨🇭✨

This afternoon, our YEEP participants enjoyed an engaging cultural session led by our Swiss partners. The presentation offered a fascinating glimpse into Switzerland its diverse landscapes, rich traditions, innovative systems, and the values that shape its unique identity.

To wrap up the session, participants were treated to an authentic Swiss buffet featuring a delightful assortment of chocolates and sweets, creating a warm and memorable cultural exchange experience.
It was a refreshing moment of learning, connection, and celebration of global collaboration. 🤝✨

✨ YEEP Week — Day 5 Highlights ✨

🌍 Morning Cultural Session – Coffee Ceremony & Ethiopian Heritage Showcase 🇪🇹✨

Day 5 YEEP Week began with a vibrant celebration of Ethiopia’s cultural richness. The session was officially opened by Dr. Gebrechristos Nuriye, Deputy Director for Research and Technology Transfer, together with Mr. Samuel and Mr. Christian, who warmly launched the program.

Participants shared presentations on Ethiopia’s diverse cultural traditions, followed by a live demonstration of our traditional coffee ceremony a symbol of hospitality, community, and connection. Our Swiss guests also joined the experience by learning how to roast, grind, and brew coffee the traditional way.

To complete the cultural immersion, the team enjoyed cultural foods, sampled flavors from different regions, and joined in moments of traditional dance, creating a joyful and memorable moment.

✨ YEEP Week — Day 6 Highlights ✨
Day 6's sessions were all about building, understanding, and leading.

We started with an engaging workshop on prototyping, where we learned how to turn ideas into tangible, testable concepts. From brainstorming to sketching and structuring our models, the session showed us how prototypes bring clarity, spark creativity, and help us validate solutions early.

Later, we shifted into a powerful session on VUCA Leadership and Management.
We explored what it means to lead in a world that is:

Volatile — constantly changing

Uncertain — unpredictable

Complex — full of interdependent factors

Ambiguous — open to multiple interpretations

The session helped us understand how strong leadership, adaptability, and clear communication guide teams through a dynamic environment — exactly what entrepreneurship demands

Half of the week in Ethiopia is over...
from a preorder online clothing shop, to a design of a new pottery machine to reduce the circulation of plastic cups, to the Ethiopian Amazon. These are the ideas the groups are working on this week. We are excited to see the results.
