HU-IoT hosted a pivotal internal review workshop

An internal review workshop was held at Hawassa University Institute of Technology. The event, which is enhanced by both national academic competence and important regional perspectives, is a significant step toward improving academic excellence and matching global standards.
The workshop was officially opened by Prof. Mihiret Denanto, the institute's scientific director. In his opening speech, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the participants and noted that academic program review supports accreditation requirements, optimizes institutional resources, and strengthens alignment across learning outcomes, university strategy, and external market demand.
The department chair gave the presentation, which covered the main topics of Academic Program Review and how to keep curriculum modern, relevant, and responsive to the dynamic needs of industry, research, and society.
Once the presentation were done, the participants have forwarded very relevant comments and suggestions to be incorporated into the document.
During the conclution of the event, Dr. Fantahun Moges, Academic Affairs Deputy Director, extended his deepest appreciation to the dedicated accademic staff members. He also highlighted that this workshop marks a significant step in our continuous effort to enhance the quality, relevance, and competitiveness of our academic programs.
